Iran’s Ruling Establishment Sites Security Measures as Reason For Delays in Mir Hossein Mousavi’s Medical Treatment | Narges Mousavi Warns that the Family Will Do Whatever it Takes to Ensure that Medical Protocols are Followed!

May 8th, 2014 [Kaleme – Mehdi Sharif] – Narges Mousavi criticizes the indifference of the ruling establishment towards her father’s medical condition, expressing concern over the continued delay in providing her father with the critical medical attention he needs. The opposition leader’s youngest daughter states:  “Although our parents had been incommunicado this past week, we were hopeful that our father’s medical needs had been taken seriously and that the necessary procedures had been initiated. Unfortunately it has not been the case.  We have been told that his treatment was delayed as a result of security related issues. They have promised us however, to commence his treatment by a predefined date.” Narges Mousavi warns: “We are extremely worried about the well being of both our parents and will do everything necessary to ensure that they receive the necessary medical treatment they need.”

The full content of Narges Mousavi’s interview with Kaleme is as follows:

It has been reported that you were allowed to visit with your parents in Akhtar prison.  How are they doing? What is the status of your father’s medical treatment?

We had been kept in the dark from Tuesday April 29th, 2014  when my father was taken to the hospital without our knowledge and underwent a series of tests including a coronary angiogram.  Despite the fact that we had no contact with our parents last week, we were hopeful that the necessary medical protocols had been followed and that he had received treatment.  Unfortunately this has not been the case. We have been been promised however that his treatment will begin by predefined date.  Based on our visit this morning, I can say that there has been no significant change in the condition of my parents.  The fact that our father’s blood pressure has dropped several times recently continues to concern us. Our mother is also suffering from fluctuating blood sugar levels. We are extremely concerned for the well being of our parents and we will do everything necessary to ensure that they receive adequate medical treatment.

Have security officials explained why Mr. Mousavi’s medical treatment has been delayed?

Apparently they believe that there are some security issues that need to be coordinated.  Though I must say that I don’t understand why coordinating the security requirements would be so complicated. If my father’s health was important to them, they would have taken care of the coordination issues long ago. In any event, they have now given us a specific date, and promised that as soon as the security conditions have been met, our father’s treatment will begin.

How would you describe your father’s spirits following his angiogram last week?

My father is in excellent spirits.  He was very loving and remains strong and determined. We are not worried about his spirits.  Our parents have always a source of encouragement to us, keeping our spirits high.  It is their physical health and well being that we are worried about.  We are concerned about all the delay tactics and indifference.

نرگس موسوی دختر کوچک میرحسین موسوی که روز سه شنبه موفق به دیدار پدر و مادرش در زندان اختر شده بود، در گفت و گو با خبرنگار کلمه نسبت به این بی تفاوتی ها و تعلل در درمان نخست وزیر دوران جنگ انتقاد کرده و در عین حال می گوید: به ما قول دادند که به زودی و به محض محقق شدن شرایط در تاریخ مشخصی پروسه درمانی پدر آغاز شود.

متن این گفت و گو که در روز سه شنبه انجام شده، به شرح زیر است:‌

خانم موسوی، امروز شما توانستید پدر و مادرتان را در زندان خانگی ملاقات کنید. شرایط جسمی ایشان چگونه بود؟‌ وضعیت درمانی پدر را چگونه دیدید؟

از روز سه شنبه، یعنی زمانی که آنژیوگرافی پدر بدون اطلاع خانواده انجام شد، ما تا یک هفته از ایشان بی خبر بودیم و فقط امیدوار بودیم که درمان شروع شده باشد. چون پزشکان تجویز کرده بودند که بازیابی توانایی قلبی باید روی ایشان انجام شود تا مشکلشان حل شود. ما هم امیدوار بودیم در این یک هفته که بی اطلاع بودیم، این اتفاق افتاده باشد و درمان پدر جدی گرفته شده باشد. اما متاسفانه بنا به دلایلی هنوز این کار انجام نشده. ولی یک تاریخی را مشخص کرده اند و به ما قول داده اند تا آن زمان پدر وارد پروسه درمانی بشوند.

به طور خلاصه که بخواهم بگویم، در آخرین ملاقاتی که امروز داشتیم، شرایط تفاوت عمده ای نکرده بود. افت چند باره فشار خون ایشان هم ما را نگران کرده است.

مادر هم دچار نوسان قند خون شده اند و ما از بابت سلامت ایشان به شدت نگرانیم و هر کاری بتوانیم در جهت پیشبرد مسائل درمانی پدر و مادرمان انجام می دهیم.

آیا مسئولان و مقامات امنیتی دلیل مشخصی برای تاخیر یک هفته ای در درمان آقای موسوی به شما ارائه دادند؟

ظاهرا می گفتند مشکلات امنیتی وجود داشته و باید هماهنگی هایی انجام می شده. هرچند به نظر نمی رسد این هماهنگی ها چندان کار مشکلی بوده باشد و اگر واقعا این ماجرا برایشان اهمیت داشت زودتر از اینها اقدام می کردند. اما در نهایت به ما قول دادند که به زودی و به محض محقق شدن شرایط در تاریخ مشخصی پروسه درمانی پدر آغاز شود.

روحیه آقای موسوی بعد از عمل هفته گذشته چگونه بود؟‌

بسیار عالی. پدر بسیار استوار و محکم و خیلی گرم بود. در اصل ما نگران روحیه آنها نیستیم. خود ما همیشه از پدر و مادرمان روحیه گرفته ایم. ما نگران سلامت و حال جسمی شان هستیم، نگران تعلل ها و بی تفاوتی ها هستیم.

 

URGENT – Detained Opposition Leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s Medical Treatment Stalled, His Family Highly Concerned!

May 7th, 2014 – [Kaleme] The detained opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s daughters were granted an hour and a half visitation with their father at Akhtar Prison following one week of complete isolation. The opposition leader was hospitalized over night last Tuesday, underwent a number of diagnostics tests including a coronary angiography, and was transferred back to Akhtar Prison without completing the necessary treatment for his heart condition; a condition that has become alarming but according to his children was non-existent prior to his illegal house arrest.

Mousavi’s daughters report that despite numerous assurances by the ruling establishment that actual treatment would commence this week, the opposition leader’s medical treatment has been stalled a
nd he has received no medical attention since returning to house arrest. The family is even more concerned for his health and well being now that they have had the opportunity to visit with him.

The detained leader’s daughters also confirmed today that Mir Hossein Mouavi has yet to receive the letter addressed to him by Ayatollah Haeri Shirazi.

دختران میرحسین و رهنورد روز گذشته پس از یک هفته بی خبری از وضعیت پدر و مادر خود، در زندان اختر با آن ها ملاقات کردند.

به گزارش کلمه، یک هفته از انتفال میرحسین به زندان خانگی پس از یک شب بستری بودن در بیمارستان می گذرد، اما با وجود وعده مقام های امنیتی به پزشکان، هنوز درمان نخست وزیر دوران دفاع مقدس آغاز نشده است.

پس از ترخیص از بیمارستان که آن هم صرفا جنبه ی تشخیصی داشته و هنوز درمانی بر روی میرحسین آغاز نشده بود، مسئولان امنیتی به پزشکان وی قول دادند که از هفته ای که گذشت فرایند درمانی وی را آغاز خواهند کرد. اما طی این هفته هیچ رسیدگی پزشکی صورت نگرفته است.

اکنون نیز نگرانی خانواده ی میرحسین و رهنورد پس از ملاقات روز گذشته و اطلاع از وضعیت جسمی میرحسین بیشتر شده است.

پزشکان از ماهها قبل تاکید کرده بودند که وی باید تحت برنامه بازیابی و بازتوانی تخصصی قلب قرار گیرد، تحت نظر مستمر پزشکان باشد و از استرس نیز دور نگه داشته شود. اما در این مدت به هیچ یک از این توصیه ها عمل نشد و حتی گزارش های پزشکی نیز از دسترسی خانواده دور نگه داشته شد.

نامه حائری شیرازی هنوز به دست میرحسین نرسیده است

همچنین در این ملاقات مشخص شد که هنوز نامه آیت الله حائری شیرازی به دست میرحسین موسوی نرسیده است.

میرحسین هفته گذشته پس از اطلاع از نگارش نامه ای از سوی آیت الله حائری خطاب به خود، در پیامی به وی گفته بود: با توجه به آنکه در طول مدت حصر تلاش شده است هیچ‌گونه نوشته یا پیام مکتوب و یا نامه و روزنامه‌ای به دست ما نرسد، در صورتی‌که نامه شما به دست بنده برسد، پاسخ به آن را مغتنم خواهم شمرد

Our Parents Have Been Rendered Completely Incommunicado Warns Narges Mousavi

We the children of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard remain completely in the dark with regards to the health and well being of our parents.

Our father underwent an angiography on Tuesday of last week. We were allowed to see our parents briefly the day after the procedure. They transferred our father back to house arrest shortly after the angiography was completed without access to a physician, nurse or medical equipment. We have had no contact whatsoever with our parents. We have not been allowed to call our father. We have not been granted visitation and are completely unaware of his medical condition.

Though hard to believe, the communication channel between the family and Akhtar Prison is currently non existent.

ما فرزندان میر حسین موسوی و زهرا رهنورد در بی خبری مطلق نسبت به وضعیت پدر و مادر خود هستیم!

بعد از عمل آنژیوی پدر در روز سه شنبه هفته گذشته ما تنها روز بعد از آن پدر و مادر را ملاقات کردیم.( پدر را با فاصله کمی بعد از آنژیو به حصر خانگی بازگرداندند و البته بدون حضور هیچ دکتر و پرستاری و همچنین عدم وجود تجهیزات پزشکی )
هیچ تماسی…نه تلفنی و نه ملاقات با ایشان نداشته ایم. از وضعیت پزشکی ایشان مطلق بی خبریم.

شاید باور کردنی نباشد که هیچ کانال تماسی بین ما و آن طرف زندان اختر وجود ندارد.

“My Father’s Health Condition is Alarming,” Warns Narges Mousavi

Detained opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s daughter Narges posted a status on her facebook page today warning Iranians that her father’s health condition is alarming. Mousavi’s youngest daughter emphasized that both her mother and father had no particular ailments prior to their house arrest. Her post reads:

Our parents were put under house arrest without a warning in February of 2010, despite the fact that neither had been charged with a crime. My parents both experienced a significant amount of weight loss during the first three months of their house arrest and gradually started manifesting a variety of symptoms. I would like to reiterate that they were both in good health prior to their house arrest. My father has had to undergo two coronary angioplasties during this four year period. The first time the procedure was performed the family was informed. He was quickly dismissed from the hospital and taken back to house arrest following the first angioplasty, but an ambulance was continuously present outside Akhtar Street just in case his health took a turn for the worse. Father underwent his second angioplasty on Tuesday April 29th, 2014. This time the procedure took place without the family’s knowledge. He was taken to the hospital and rushed back to house arrest upon completion of the procedure without any of us having the opportunity to be present. He is now at Akhtar prison without access to any medical equipment. With the exception of a short phone call that took place upon completion of the second procedure and after warnings by hospital physicians that he was in dire need of medical attention, the family has been kept in the dark with regards to his condition. Our father’s health condition is alarming!

نرگس موسوی: وضعیت سلامتی پدرم هشدارآمیز است.

وضعيت سلامتي پدر هشدار آميز است.شرايط جسمي پدر و مادر پيش از شروع حبس خانگي خوب بود. مشكل خاصي وجود نداشت.از بهمن سال ١٣٨٩ حبس خانگي بدون مقدمه و حكم شروع شد. در ابتدا شاهد كاهش وزن غير عادي آن دودر مدت كمتر از سه ماه بوديم و بعد كم كم علائم بيماري هاي مختلف خودشان را آشكار كردند.تاكيد مي كنم كه هر دو پيش از شروع حصر از شرايط جسماني خوبي برخوردار بودند. پدر دو بار در اين مدت آنژيو شد. بار اول با اطلاع خانواده بود و جنبه درماني داشت. بعد از انتقال سريع ايشان به منزل يك آمبولانس مجهز به مدت چند روز در كوچه اختر حضور مستمر داشت براي هر اتفاق نابه هنگامي بعد از آنژيو.

آنژيو براي بار دوم در روز سه شنبه ٩ ارديبهشت ١٣٩٣ انجام شد. اين بار بدون اطلاع خانواده. در غربت و تنهايي و حبس. بدون دادن ملاقات بعد از شوك شنيدن اين آنژيوي ناگهاني. انتقال سريع پدر از بيمارستان به خانه. عدم وجود تجهيزات پزشكي در حبس اختر … بي اطلاعي خانواده از شرايط جسمي پدر و دريغ از يك تماس تلفني با ايشان جهت آگاهي از حال پدر بعد ازآنژيو در روزهاي بعد و حال بد پدر و تشخيص پزشكان براي بازيابي توان قلب. وضعيت سلامتي پدر هشدار آميز است

 

Detained Opposition Leader Mir Hossein Mousavi Returns to House Arrest Following One Day of Hospitalization

April 30th 2014 [Kaleme] – One day after being hospitalized, detained opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi was reportedly released from the hospital and taken back to house arrest. Mousavi’s daughters found out about their father’s transfer back to Akhtar prison as they were heading to the hospital.

According to reports from Kaleme, upon undergoing a coronary angioplasty the opposition leader was taken back to house arrest at Akhtar street. The physicians attending to Mousavi were reportedly unable to place a permanent small wire mesh called a stent [a standard procedure performed in combination with an angioplasty that helps prop the artery open, decreasing the chance of repeated narrowing] and to perform other necessary procedures as a result of the opposition leader’s current heart condition.

Mir Hossein Mousavi’s daughters were allowed to briefly see their parents and to inquire about their well being. The opposition leader who has lost some weight and looked pale was reported as being determined and in strong spirits. Although distressed by the ordeal they had been forced to endure, the daughters report that Zahra Rahnavard was also in good spirits.

Mir Hossein Mousavi’s health took a turn for the worse when he began experiencing both cardiac and digestive problems this past Friday. His family reports that his condition deteriorated significantly by Saturday and a physician was finally allowed to examine him at his bedside on Sunday. Despite the detained leaders dire health, he was not admitted to the hospital until Tuesday April 29th where he underwent a coronary angioplasty and was sent home following the completion of the procedure. Mousavi’s daughters were not informed of the opposition leader’s admittance to the hospital and were not allowed to be present while he was being treated.

Mousavi’s physicians had warned the ruling establishment for months about the detained leader’s deteriorating heart condition and the need for urgent treatment by coronary specialists. Their warnings however seemed to have fallen on deaf ears as his treatment was not only repeatedly delayed but he was also denied access to his trusted physicians.

میرحسین موسوی یک روز پس از انتقال به بیمارستان ظهر امروز به زندان خانگی منتقل شد. دختران موسوی لحظاتی قبل از عزیمت به قصد ملاقات متوجه انتقال پدر و مادرشان به منزل شده اند.

به گزارش کلمه، میرحسین موسوی در حالی که پس از عمل آنژیو، پزشکان به دلیل وضعیت قلبی وی موفق به اقدامات پزشکی بعدی از قبیل فنر گذاری و … نشده اند به زندان خانگی منتقل شد.

در همین حال دختران میرحسین موسوی اجازه یافتند تا پدر و مادرشان را ملاقات کنند تا از نزدیک جویای حال پدر و مادرشان شوند.

بر اساس این گزارش، میرحسین، کمی لاغر و رنگ پریده اما از روحیه قوی و مصمم برخوردار بوده است.

همچنین زهرا رهنورد نیز علیرغم روحیه بالا از آنچه که بر آنان روا داشته شده بود آزرده خاطر بود.

میرحسین موسوی که از روز جمعه با مشکلات قلبی و گوارشی مواجه شده و در روز شنبه حالش به وخامت گراییده بود، در نهایت پس از مدتی تعلل ماموران امنیتی در روز سه شنبه به بیمارستان منتقل شد و بدون حضور فرزندانش تحت عمل آنژیوگرافی قرار گرفت.

طبق گزارشی که پیش از این در اختیار کلمه قرار گرفته بود پزشکان از ماه ها پیش هشدار داده بودند که قلب میرحسین موسوی نیاز به اقداماتی تخصصی پزشکی برای بازیابی توان قلبی دارد؛ اقداماتی که با حذف پزشک معتمد از فرایند درمان و تعلل مسوولان تاکنون انجام نشده است.
