>BREAKING NEWS – Ahmad Gholami Editor-in-Chief of Shargh Newspaper Released from Prison

Wednesday December 29th, 2010 – Ahamad Gholami, Editor-in-Chief of Shargh Newspaper was released from prison today on $10,000.- USD bail after twenty days in prison.  Keyvan Mehregan Head of the Political Division, Farzaneh Roustaee Head of the International Division and Reyhaneh Tabatabai a member of the editorial group remain incarcerated.

Last week 150 writers, translators, journalists and newspaper reporters demanded Gholami’s release in a letter addressed to the head of the Judiciary.  The signatories of the letter included Babak Ahmadi, Mahmaood Ostad Mohammad, Mohammad Reza Aslani, Simin Behbahani, Fatollah Biniyaz, Abaas Pejman, Ahmad Pouri, Ahmad Pournejadi, Younes Tarkameh, Morad Saghafi, Mohammad Ali Jafariyeh, Mohammad Hosseini, Mohmmad Saeed hanayi Kashani, Ali Khodayi, Moniroo Ravanipour, Reza Raeesi, Mohammad Ali Sepanloo, Balghis Soleymani, Hossein Senapour, Farzaneh Taheri, Naheed Tabatabai, Abbas Abadi, Mehdi Ghorbani, Zavan Ghoukasian, Majid Gheysari, Mohammad Reza Kateb, Modiya Kashgir, Abdollah Kosari, Hassan Kiyaian, Leyli Golestan, Mohammad Mohammad Ali, Hossein Mortezaiyan Abkar, Abbas Maroufi and Hafez Mousavi.

احمد غلامی هم آزاد شد

چکیده : احمد غلامی، سردبیر روزنامه شرق، پس از نزدیک به بیست روز بازداشت، امروز با تودیع وثیقه ده میلیون تومانی از زندان اوین آزاد شد. علی خدابخش، سرمایه گذار روزنامه شرق، نیز با تودیع وثیقه‌ای به همین میزان از زندان آزاد شده است. اما هنوز کیوان مهرگان، دبیر سرویس سیاسی، فرزانه روستایی، دبیر سرویس بین الملل، و ریحانه طباطبایی از اعضای تحریریه روزنامه شرق در بازداشت به سر می‌برند.

احمد غلامی، سردبیر روزنامه شرق، پس از نزدیک به بیست روز بازداشت، امروز با تودیع وثیقه ده میلیون تومانی از زندان اوین آزاد شد.
به گزارش کلمه، یک هفته قبل، بیش از ۱۵۰ نویسنده، مترجم و روزنامه‌نگار در نامه‌ای به رئیس قوه قضاییه خواستار آزادی احمد غلامی شده بودند. بابک احمدی، محمود استاد‌محمد، محمد‌رضا اصلانی، سیمین بهبهانی، فتح‌الله بی‌نیاز، عباس پژمان، احمد پوری، احمد پورنجاتی، یونس تراکمه، مراد ثقفی، محمد‌علی جعفریه، محمد حسینی، محمد‌‌سعید حنایی‌کاشانی، علی خدایی، منیرو روانی‌پور، رضا رئیسی، محمد‌علی سپانلو، بلقیس سلیمانی، حسین سناپور، فرزانه طاهری، ناهید طباطبایی، عباس عبدی، مهدی غبرایی- زاون قوکاسیان، مجید قیصری، محمدرضا کاتب، مدیا کاشیگر، عبدالله کوثری، حسن کیائیان، لیلی گلستان، محمد محمدعلی، حسین مرتضائیان‌آبکنار، عباس معروفی و حافظ ‌موسوی از جمله امضاکنندگان این نامه بودند.

>Names of 16 Individuals Arrested in Sanandaj After the Raid of Habibollah Latifi’s Residence

Monday December 27th, 2010 – At least 20 residents of Sanandaj were arrested after security and intelligence forces raided the residence of Habibollah Latifi, Kurdish activist on death row.

According to confirmed reports received by HRANA, the names of some of the individuals arrested in Sanandaj are as follows:

It is worth mentioning that many of those arrested are civil and labor activists. The names of four of the individuals arrested have not been confirmed to date. Local sources report that the detainees have been transferred to the Sanandaj Intelligence Ministry.

خبرگزاری هرانا – در پی یورش نیروهای اطلاعاتی و امنیتی به منزل حبیب الله لطیفی دست کم بیست تن از شهروندان بازداشت شدند.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، اسامی برخی از بازداشت شدگان که هویت آنها برای گزارشگران این خبرگزاری تائید شده است به قرار زیر است:عباس لطیفی، ایرج لطیفی، اقبال لطیفی، شهین لطیفی، الهه لطیفی، بهار لطیفی، ژیان متی پور، سیمین چایچی، حمید ملک الکلانی، سعید ساعدی، محمود محمودی، ژیان ظفری ، واحد مجیدی، زاهد مرادیان، هاشم رستمی، پدرام نصرالهی

گفتنی است، اکثر بازداشت شدگان میهمان از فعالین کارگری و مدنی کرد هستند
اسامی چهار تن از بازداشت شدگان تاکنون مشخص نشده است، منابع محلی از انتقال بازداشت شدگان به اداره اطلاعات سنندج خبر می دهند.


>Nasrin Sotoudeh Receives Five Additional Days in Prison for Complaining about Latest Court Hearing

Monday December 27th, 2010 – According to the website Change for Equality, Nasrin Sotoudeh’s court proceedings at the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court were disrupted today after Sotoudeh and her lawyer complained about the manner in which the court hearing was being conducted resulting in Judge Moghiseh sentencing Sotoudeh to an additional Five days in prison.

According to Sotoudeh’s lawyer, the presence of a camera man video taping the proceedings without the court informing the lawyers and their defendant of the identity of such a person and dismissing a well known lawyer from courtroom while the proceedings were in session led to complaints by Sotoudeh and her legal team.  According to Sotoudeh’s husband Reza Khandan, this complaint led to Judge Moghiseh adding five additional days in prison to Sotoudeh’s current sentence.

 Mehnaz Parakandeh Sotoudeh’s lawyer said the following of the new charges against her client: “They did not provide any specific reasons for the charges, but the legal note they referred to was in reference to blatant non adherence to Hejab rules. After the charges were announced we complained about the validity of the court proceedings listing  reasons for our complaint.”

It is worth mentioning that Nasrin Sotoudeh has already been charged with “acting against the national security of the country”, “propaganda against the regime” and “membership in the Defenders of Human Rights Center”. The court hearing that took place today, December 27th, 2010 was based on new charges of “blatant non adherence to Hejab rules”.

محاکمه نسرین ستوده به اتهام بدحجابی / پنج روز حبس به خاطر اعتراض به فیلمبرداری از دادگاه

چکیده : به گفته وکیل نسرین ستوده، آوردن دوربین فیلم برداری به جلسه دادگاه بدون اینکه هویت نهاد فیلمبرداری کننده روشن باشد و و اخراج یکی از وکلای بنام که در جلسه دادگاه حاضر شده بود، موجب اعتراض خانم ستوده و وی شد. به گفته همسر نسرین ستوده، اعتراض نسرین باعث شد قاضی پیرعباس خانم ستوده را به 5 روز حبس تعزیری محکوم کند.

سایت تغییر برای برابری در گزارشی از دادگاه امروز نسرین ستوده نوشت:
هرچند مقرر شده بود که امروز دوشنبه، ۶ دی ماه، قرار بود دادگاه نسرین ستوده به صورت علنی در شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب برگزار شود، اما جلسه دادگاه با توجه به ایراد شکلی نسرین ستوده و وکیلش به نحوه اداره جلسه مختل شد و قاضی پیرعباسی، رئیس دادگاه نسرین ستوده را به ۵ روز حبس تعزیری محکوم کرد.

مهنار پراکند، وکیل نسرین ستوده، درباره اتهام وارده به موکلش گفت: عنوانی اعلام نکردند ولی تبصره خاصی که به آن اشاره شده عنوان “تظاهر به بی‌حجابی” دارد و ما به دلیل نوع اتهام اعلام شده نظر به عدم صلاحیت دادگاه داشتیم که این موضوع را با ذکر دلایل اعلام کردیم .

لازم به ذکر است که پیش از این نسرین ستوده، در شعبه ٢۶ دادگاه انقلاب، به ریاست قاضی پیرعباسی، به اتهامات «اقدام علیه امنیت ملی»، «تبلیغ علیه نظام» و «عضویت در کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر» محاکمه شده بود و دادگاه روز ۶ ام دی ماه بر اساس اتهام جدید وی “تظاهر به بی حجابی” تشکیل شده است.


>Majid Tavakoli and Bahareh Hedayat Presented with New Charges

Monday December 27th, 2010 – Incarcerated student activists Majid Tavakoli and Bahareh Hedayat were transferred to Evin Court’s branch number four and presented with new charges.  According to the interrogator at Evin’s court number four Tavakoli and Hedayat have been accused of the following new charges: “propaganda against the regime” and “acting against national security by conspiring against the regime”. The interrogator stated that these two prisoners had acted together and cooperated with foreign media to conspire against the regime.

It has been reported that these new charges are attributed to to the letters written by these two student activists on the occasion of Student Day (16 Azar) published by the media and widely distributed by students both inside Iran and abroad.

The interrogator at Evin’s Court number four has demanded that Tavakoli and Hedayat deny the fact that they wrote this letter in an televised interview. He also stated that refusing to do so will lead to a new case being opened against them in court.

Bahareh Hedayat and Majid Tavakoli have been incarcerated for the past year. Hedayat has been sentenced to 9 1/2 years and Tavakoli to 8 years in prison.

تفهیم اتهام جدید به دو فعال دانشجویی، بهاره هدایت و مجید توکلی

چکیده : مجید توکلی و بهاره هدایت، دو فعال دانشجویی زندانی، با انتقال به شعبه چهار دادسرای اوین، با تفهیم اتهامات جدید روبه‌رو شده‌اند. گفته می شود این اتهامات مربوط به نامه‌ی منتسب به این دو فعال دانشجویی است که به مناسبت 16 آذر (روز دانشجو) در رسانه‌ها منتشر شد.

مجید توکلی و بهاره هدایت، دو فعال دانشجویی زندانی، با انتقال به شعبه چهار دادسرای اوین، با تفهیم اتهامات جدید روبه‌رو شده‌اند.

بنابر گزارش‌های رسیده به کلمه، بازپرس شعبه ۴ دادسرای اوین، اتهامات “تبلیغ علیه نظام” و ” اقدام علیه امنیت از طریق تبانی علیه نظام” را به این دو دانشجوی زندانی تفهیم کرده است. بازپرس اعلام کرده که این دو زندانی به همراه یکدیگر و با همراهی رسانه‌های خارجی اقدام به تبانی علیه نظام کرده‌اند.

گفته می شود این اتهامات ظاهرا مربوط به نامه‌ی منتسب به این دو فعال دانشجویی باشد که به مناسبت ۱۶ آذر (روز دانشجو) در رسانه‌ها منتشر شد و در محافل دانشجویی داخل و خارج از کشور بازتاب گسترده‌ای داشت.

بازپرس مستقر در دادسرای اوین از بهاره هدایت و مجید توکلی خواسته است، انتساب این نامه به خود را طی یک مصاحبه تلویزیونی تکذیب کنند، و گفته که در غیر این‌صورت پرونده‌ی جدیدی با اتهامات مذکور برای آنان تشکیل شده و به دادگاه ارسال خواهد شد.

بهاره هدایت و مجید توکلی که هم‌اکنون یک سال است در زندان به سر می‌برند، از سوی دادگاه، به ترتیب به ۹ سال و نیم و ۸ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده‌اند.

بهاره هدایت از هفته گذشته و به دنبال ممنوع الملاقات شدن خود، دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است. گزارش‌های رسیده از زندان اوین در روزهای گذشته، حاکی از وخامت حال این فعال دانشجویی زندانی دارد، به طوری‌که او بارها به بهداری اوین انتقال یافته است.

>BREAKING NEWS – Security Forces Raid the House of Habibollah Latifi’s Father Arresting All Those Present

Sunday December 26th, 2010 – According to HRANA security forces raided the house of Habibollah Latifi’s father in Sanandaj at 10:00pm on Sunday, searching the premises, confiscating material and arresting all those present.

According to reports received from locals at around 10:00pm on Sunday night, security forces raided the house of the father of Habibollah Latifi, Kurdish political prisoner sentenced to death. Latifi was originally scheduled to be hanged on Sunday morning, but his death sentence was postponed. After raiding the house, searching the premises and confiscating material, security forces arrested those present.

It is worth mentioning that reports indicate that more than 30 security forces were present at Latifi’s father’s house. They confiscated a computer and arrested the family members and another individual who happened to be at their residence.

Local witnesses and other unconfirmed sources report that everyone present was arrested and taken to an undisclosed location.  HRANA is further investigating and will provide more details as it becomes available.

Habibollah Latifi is a political prisoner sentenced to death currently incarcerated at the central prison in Sanandaj. His execution scheduled for 6:30am on Sunday December 26th and later postponed was met with strong protest by Iranian citizens both inside Iran and abroad.

Translator’s Note: At the time this note was translated, CHRR also reported the arrest of Latifi’s family members adding that internet connection is very slow in Sanandaj and it has been very difficult to phone anyone in the city. هرانا؛ یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل پدری حبیب الله لطیفی

خبرگزاری هرانا – نیروهای امنیتی در سنندج ساعت 10 شب روز گذشته به منزل پدری حبیب الله لطیفی یورش برده و اقدام به تفتیش منزل و ضبط وسایل کردند.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، بنا به گزارشات دریافتی از منابع محلی راس ساعت 22  مورخ 5 دی ماه 89 نیروهای امنیتی به منزل پدری حبیب الله لطیفی زندانی سیاسی محکوم به اعدام که اجرای حکم وی در تاریخ مقرر شده (5 دی ماه) به تعویق افتاده است.یورش برده و ضمن تفتیش منزل به بازداشت ساکنین آن مبادرت کردند.

گفتنی است، نیروهای امنیتی که تعدادشان بالغ بر 30 تن گزارش شده است یک دستگاه کامپیوتر را ضبط و علاوه بر اعضای خانواده، یک شخص که عضو خانواده نبوده است را نیز بازداشت کردند.

شاهدین محلی و همچنین بعضی منابع تایید نشده از بازداشت (تمام) ساکنین منزل و انتقال آنان به نقطه نامعلومی در این رابطه اطلاع میدهند، هرانا به پیگیری موضوع برای اعلام آمار و هویت بازداشت شدگان پرداخته و در این رابطه گزارشات تکمیلی منتشر خواهد کرد.
گفتنی است حبیب الله لطیفی زندانی سیاسی کرد محکوم به اعدامی است که در زندان مرکزی سنندج به سر می برد و مقرر شده بود روز گذشته حکم مرگ وی اجرا شود که این موضوع موجب اعتراضات گسترده مردمی در داخل و خارج کشور شد

In a phone interview Habibollah Latifi’s sister thanks Iranian citizens for the incredible support that led to the postponement of her brother’s planned execution this morning. The latest remarks by Habib Lotfi’s sister on behalf of her brother are as follows: 

“Habib asked that we sincerely thank all the citizens who worked so hard on his behalf. He asked that I kiss your hands and your eyes. I want to thank every single one of my beloved country men a…nd women who stayed up with us this past few nights, who supported us and never left our side. It was because you stayed up with us, because you felt our pain, because you contacted us and did everything in your power to help us, it was because of your pressure that Habib was not executed this morning.

Habib’s sister continued: “All our efforts are to ensure that not only Habib’s death sentenced is overturned but that more importantly the death penalty in general is abolished in Iran. These efforts are not only for Habib but on behalf of all the people of Iran. We ask the people of Iran to therefore protest and not remain silent so that together we can ensure that the death penalty is abolished in Iran. There are so many other individuals on death row. Our goal is to ensure that their sentences are also overturned.

When asked about Habib’s physical and psychological condition during their last visit, his sister responded: ” He was in great spirits. Today they allowed us a face to face vist at 9 am. Habib was well and asked that we thank all the citizens both in Iran and abroad who worked so hard to make sure that his death sentence did not take place this morning. He said to kiss your hands and eyes on his behalf.”

>Arash Sadeghi Student Activist Breaks His Hunger Strike After 17 Days

Sunday December 26th, 2010 – Arash Sadeghi has broken a hunger strike he started 17 days ago protesting being beaten by prison interrogators because of a letter he wrote on the occasion of Student Day (16 Azar).  

According to reports by RHANA, Sadeghi ended up with a number of broken ribs as a result of the severe beatings he received.  Sadeghi began a hunger strike protesting this inhumane behavior on December 10th, 2010 and broke his hunger strike on Saturday night, December 25th when he was transferred back to the general ward at Evin.

Arash Sadeghi was a member of Mousavi’s 2009 election campaign and an student activist at Allameh Tabatabai University.  He was arrested on Ashura last year (December 27th, 2009) and sentenced to 5 years prison.

آرش صادقی پس از ۱۷ روز اعتصاب غذای خود را شکست

آرش صادقی پس از انتشار نامه‌ای به مناسبت ۱۶ آذر که منجر به ضرب و شتمش توسط بازجویان شد، دست به اعتصاب غذا زد

به گزارش رهانا، سامانه خبری خانه حقوق بشر ایران، این فعال دانشجویی در پی این ضرب و شتم از ناحیه دنده دچار شکستگی شدید شده بود.م وی در اعتراض به رفتار بازجویان، از ۱۹ آذر دست به اعتصاب غذا زده بود که شنبه شب با انتقال به بند عمومی زندان اعتصاب خود را شکست.

آرش صادقی، عضو ستاد ۸۸ میرحسین موسوی در زمان انتخابات و فعال دانشجویی دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی، درتاریخ ۶ دی۱۳۸۸( روز عاشورا) بازداشت شد و به پنج سال زندان محکوم شده است.

>Bahareh Hedayat’s Physical Condition Deteriorating After One Week On Hunger Strike

Sunday December 26th, 2010 –  Bahareh Hedayat incarcerated student activist who started a hunger strike a week ago protesting the banning of her visitation rights, was transferred to the infirmary at Evin. 

Reports received from Evin prison by Kaleme indicate that in the past few days, as a result of her deteriorating physical condition, Bahareh Heydayat has been transferred to the infirmary at Evin on numerous occasions.  Given that political prisoners are currently banned from telephone calls and Hedayat herself has no visitation rights there is no credible and confirmed news about her physical condition. It is worth mentioning that according to her husband, Hedayat is suffering from gallstones and according to the prison doctors she needs to be operated on.

Last week the families of Bahareh Hedayat and Mahdieh Golroo arrived at Evin prison only to find out that both of these student activists have been deprived of visitation rights.  

According to their cell mates prison officials have not provided any reason for depriving these two political prisoners of visitation rights. It looks as though their recent statements on the occasion of Student Day (16 Azar) receiving much attention by students both inside and outside of Iran may be the reason for this latest move by prison officials. Prison officials have announced that both Bahareh Hedayat and Mahdieh Golroo will be deprived of visitation rights until further notice.

The families of these two student activists approached the prosecutors office inquiring about their condition after an unsuccessful attempt to visit with them in prison.  The officials at the prosecutor’s office however did not provide them with any clear answers to their questions.

Bahareh Hedayat and Mahdieh Golroo have been incarcerated for a year and to date have not been granted leave of absence from prison. They have also been deprived of face to face visitation with their families for a long time.

چکیده : بهاره هدایت، دانشجوی زندانی که از یک هفته پیش در اعتراض به ممنوع‌الملاقات شدن خود دست به اعتصاب غذا زده بود، در پی اوضاع نامساعد جسمی به بهداری منتقل شده است. برخی گزارش‌ها حاکی ار مراجعه مکرر این زندانی سیاسی به بهداری زندان اوین است، اما با توجه به قطع بودن تلفن‌های زندانیان سیاسی و ممنوع‌الملاقات بودن وی، اخبار موثق و تأیید‌شده‌ای در مورد وضعیت سلامتی او در دست نیست.

بهاره هدایت، دانشجوی زندانی که از یک هفته پیش در اعتراض به ممنوع‌الملاقات شدن خود دست به اعتصاب غذا زده بود، در پی اوضاع نامساعد جسمی به بهداری منتقل شده است.

این در حالی است که طبق اعلام همسر این فعال دانشجویی، وی در زندان به بیماری سنگ کیسه صفرا مبتلا شده است و طبق نظریه پزشکان حاضر در زندان نیاز به عمل جراحی دارد.

هفته گذشته خانواده‌های بهاره هدایت و مهدیه گلرو با مراجعه به زندان اوین متوجه شدند که این دو فعال دانشجویی به دلایل نامعلوم ممنوع‌الملاقات شده‌اند.

به گفته سایر افراد هم‌بند با این دو زندانی سیاسی، مسئولان زندان دلیلی را برای قطع ملاقات‌های این دو زندانی اعلام نکرده‌اند، اما به نظر می‌رسد پیام‌های این دو فعال دانشجویی به مناسبت ۱۶ آذر که بازتاب گسترده‌ای در میان محافل دانشجویی داخل و خارج از کشور داشت، دلیل ممنوع‌الملاقات شدن آنها باشد.

مسئولان زندان اعلام کرده‌اند که بهاره هدایت و مهدیه گلرو تا اطلاع ثانوی ممنوع‌الملاقات خواهند بود.

گفته می‌شود بهاره هدایت پس از اطلاع از این موضوع، از شنبه هفته گذشته دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است.
خانواده این دو فعال دانشجویی، پس از آنکه موفق به دیدار با عزیزان خود نشدند، با مراجعه به دادستانی، خواهان اطلاع از شرایط آنان شدند. با این وجود، مقامات دادستانی نیز هیچ‌گونه پاسخ روشنی به آنان نداده‌اند.

بهاره هدایت و مهدیه گلرو که یک سال است در زندان به سر می‌برند، تاکنون حق استفاده از مرخصی را نداشته‌اند و مدتهاست که از ملاقات حضوری با خانواده خود محروم هستند.


>Tehran Prosecutor "The Shargh Journalists Were Arrested Because They INTENDED to Publish an Article Against the Regime"

Sunday December 6th, 2010 – I decided to translate this piece because although the world is aware of the human rights violations in Iran and the extreme suppression of freedom of speech, we continue to focus on the Nuclear issue. Meanwhile innocent people are arrested, tortured, raped and hanged under all types of pretexts such as colluding against the regime, being a Mohareb (enemy of God), propaganda against the regime, or no reason what so ever. The latest casualties of the Islamic Republic’s unjust Judiciary are the Editor in Chief of Shargh Newspaper, Ahmad Gholami, the Head of International Department Farzaneh Roustayi, the Head of the Political Section Keyvan Mehregan and their main investor Ali Khoda bakhsh who were all arrested on Student Day (16 Azar), December 7th, 2010.  Despite the fact that their families have had no news of them for 20 days and 150 well known journalists, writers, translators and literary experts in Iran have written to the head of the Judiciary demanding their release, according to Tehran’s prosecutor they were arrested because they “intended” to write/publish against the regime.  Yes, they are behind bars without the right to seek legal council or see their families because they “intended” to write against the regime.  I kid you not. They did not commit this so called vicious crime, but intended to do so. In what other country in the world is journalism considered a crime? People should not be told not to think, not to live, not to breath.We must speak out against such violations of basic human rights, for if we don’t we have given up on humanity.

Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi Tehran’s prosecutor stated today that the Shargh journalists were arrested on security charges because they were planning on writing an article against the regime and were working on the financial and logistical aspects related to publishing such an article when arrested; all activities that according to Tehran’s prosecutor have nothing to do with the profession of journalism.

According to ILNA, during a farewell and referral ceremony for the court supervisor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi claimed that the aforementioned journalists intended to write an article against the regime and were working on the financial and logistical aspects related to publishing such an article when arrested.  Jafari Dolatabadi stated: “With regards to the six accused, some were arrested by one of our investigating units and the others were arrested by another unit.  As far as I know currently five of the six originally detained are still in custody. Their case file is currently under review.”

Dolatabadi also confirmed that the case against Nazanin Khosravi charged with acting against the national security of the country and propaganda against the regime will soon go to trial.

Dolatabadi also made the following statement regarding the accusations against the members of the Vahed Syndicate: “These individuals were arrested a few years ago on security charges. Some have been indicted, while the case file of others is still in the investigation phase.”

دادستان تهران: روزنامه‌نگاران بازداشتی شرق می‌خواستند علیه نظام اطلاعیه بنویسند

چکیده : روزنامه‌نگاران بازداشت شده روزنامه شرق، مرتکب جرم امنیتی شده‌اند به این معنا که به دنبال اقداماتی بوده‌اند که با کار روزنامه‌نگاری آنها ارتباطی نداردو آنها به دنبال نوشتن اطلاعیه علیه نظام و تدارکات مالی و نظایر آن بوده‌اند.

دادستان تهران درباره اتهام روزنامه‌نگاران بازداشت شده روزنامه شرق، مدعی شد: این افراد مرتکب جرم امنیتی شده‌اند به این معنا که به دنبال اقداماتی بوده‌اند که با کار روزنامه‌نگاری آنها ارتباطی ندارد.

به گزارش ایلنا‏، عباس جعفری دولت‌آبادی در حاشیه مراسم تودیع و معارفه سرپرست دادسرای بعثت، با ادعای اینکه این افراد به دنبال نوشتن اطلاعیه علیه نظام و تدارکات مالی و نظایر آن بوده‌اند، اظهار کرد: این پرونده در حال بررسی است. این متهمان شش نفر بوده‌اند که یک سری از آنها توسط یک نهاد تحقیقاتی دستگیر و برخی دیگر توسط یک نهاد دیگر دستگیر شده‌اند و تا جایی که اطلاع دارم هم‌اکنون پنج نفر از آنها در بازداشت هستند.

همچنین جعفری دولت‌آبادی اتهام نازنین خسروانی را اقدام علیه امنیت ملی و تبلیغ علیه نظام عنوان کرد و گفت: این پرونده به زودی به دادگاه می‌رود.

جعفری دولت‌آبادی در خصوص اتهامات اعضای سندیکای شرکت واحد نیز گفت: این افراد پرونده‌های امنیتی دارند که برخی از آنها در سال‌های گذشته بازداشت شده‌اند و اتهامات آنها بیشتر مربوط به جرائم امنیتی است که یک سری از آنها حکم گرفته و یک سری دیگر نیز پرونده‌شان در مرحله تحقیقات است.


>Habibollah Latifi’s Family – "Silence is NOT an Option"

December 24th, 2010 – Habiballah Latifi is scheduled to be executed on Sunday December 26th, 2010. His lawyer, Saleh Neekbakht was only informed of this fact on Thursday December 23rd.  In an interview with Kurdish Perspective, Habiballah’s family confirm the news of his scheduled execution and respond to a number of questions.

We first asked Habib’s sister, who is under extreme psychological distress to provide us with details on the events of the recent days and how she received the news of her brothers potential execution.  To which she responded:

Mr. Saleh, my brother’s lawyer contacted us yesterday. He was very distressed.  He informed us that Habib is to be executed at 6:30am on December 26th, 2010.  He had apparently received the news by fax. Even Mr. Neekbakht was at a loss for words when hearing the news, as his case file had been moving in a positive direction. The truth is, all of us were taken aback and shocked by this news.

Latifi’s sister was so distressed that she was unable to continue with the interview.  As a result we continued the interview with his niece. Earlier Mr. Neekbakht had indicated that Latifi’s case had been referred to the Amnesty Commission in Tehran for review and that a sentence would not be rendered until further clarification and review by the commission. 

Did the Judiciary officials respond to your request for Amnesty?

Unfortunately the Judiciary officials never forwarded the case to the Amnesty Commission.  The statements by the Judge responsible for the case and the sentence rendered were completely contradictory.

What does his lawyer intend to do in order to prevent the sentence from being executed?  In addition to taking legal action, have you approached the members of the parliament regarding this matter?

Mr. Neekbakht is coming to Sanandaj tomorrow in order to further discuss the matter with Hassan Babai the Judge responsible for this case. Mr. Neekbakht has stated that he will request yet another hearing. We have no hope in the Kurdish representatives in the parliament and as such we have not approached them.  Their is no history of them ever helping anyone under these circumstances.

When was your last visit with Habib? Does he still suffer from a stomach infection?

We were allowed to see him for 15 minutes from behind a cabin on Tuesday. Habib was not aware of the news at the time. Unfortunately as a result of the lack of medical attention in prison, Habib’s gum disease has now progress to his stomach. He continues to suffer from this condition.

What is your message to the people of Kurdistan and Iran?

As a representative of Habib’s family I request that all citizens, particularly human rights activists and human rights organizations do everything in their power to overturn this sentence.  We must defend every activist that has fought for human dignity. Remaining silent  is NOT an option.  Defending Habib and others sentenced to death, is defending humanity.

خانواده حبیب الله لطیفی: سکوت جایز نیست

قرار است حبیب الله لطیفی، روز یک شنبه اعدام شود. خبری که روز پنج شنبه اول دیماه به صالح نیکبخت، وکیل این زندانی کرد ابلاغ شد.

خانواده حبیب الله لطیفی در مصاحبه با کردیش پرسپکتیو، ضمن تائید این خبر به چند سئوال دیگر نیز پاسخ دادەاند:

ابتدا از خواهر حبیب در باره چگونگی دریافت این خبر و اطلاعات دیگری که احیانا در این باره دارند پرسیدم.
وی که در شرایط نامناسب روحی به سر می برد پاسخ داد:

روز گذشته آقای صالح نیکبخت با ما تماس گرفت و در حالیکه به شدت متاثر بود به ما گفت که قرار است حبیب ساعت 6:30 دقیقه صبح روز یک شنبه، یعنی دو روز دیگر اعدام شود. گویا این خبر از طریق فاکس به ایشان ابلاغ شده بود.
این موضوع حتی برای آقای نیکبخت نیز غیر قابل باور بود، چرا که ظاهرا پرونده روند مثبتی را طی می نمود و هیچ یک از ما اننتظار شنیدن چنین خبری را نداشتیم.

به دلیل شدت نگرانی خواهر حبیب الله لطیفی، وی قادر به ادامه انجام مصاحبه نبود و به همین خاطر دیگر پرسش ها را با خواهرزادەی این فعال کرد مطرح نمودیم.

پیش تر آقای نیکبخت این موضوح را مطرح نموده بود که پرونده جهت رسیدگی در کمیسیون عفو به تهران ارسال شده و تا پیش از روشن شدن این درخواست، حکم اجرا نخواهد شد .

آیا مقامات قضایی به این تقاضا پاسخ داده بودند؟

متاسفانه باید بگویم که این مقامات، پرونده را اصلا به کمیسیون عفو ارسال ننموده بودند، تا در آنجا مورد رسیدگی قرار گیرد.
اظهارات قاضی پرونده و دایرەی اجرای احکام در این باره کاملا متناقض بود.

چه اقداماتی قرار است از سوی وکیل پرونده جهت جلوگیری از اجرای این حکم صورت بپذیرد؟
آیا غیر از وکیل، موضوع را از طریق نمایندگان مجلس پیگیری نمودەاید؟

قرار است فردا آقای نیکبخت به سنندج بیایند و در این باره با قاضی پرونده، آقای حسن بابایی صحبت کنند. ایشان اظهار داشتەاند که مجددا درخواست اعاده دادرسی را مطرح خواهند نمود.

به نمایندگان کرد در مجلس شورای اسلامی هیچ امیدی نداریم که بخواهیم از طریق آنان موضوع را پیگیری نمائیم. چرا که چنین سابقەای در کارنامه آنان وجود ندارد.

آخرین ملاقات شما با حبیب کی بود؟ آیا وی همچنان از بیماری عفونت معده رنج می برد؟

روز سه شنبه توانستیم به مدت 15 دقیقه با او ملاقات کابینی داشته باشیم. حبیب از موضوع خبر نداشت.
متاسفانه عدم مداوای عفونت دندانهای حبیب که در زندان به آن مبتلا شد، عفونت شدید در ناحیه معدەی را به دنبال داشته است.
بیماری که همچنان حبیب را آزار می دهد.

پیام شما در این شرایط، برای مردم کردستان و ایران چیست؟

من به عنوان نماینده خانواده حبیب از تمام مردم خصوصا فعالان حقوق بشر و سازمانهای مرتبط می خواهم که از هیچ تلاشی برای متوقف نمودن اجرای این حکم دریغ نکنند.
سکوت در قبال وضعیت تمام فعالانی که به خاطر دفاع از کرامت انسانها به اعدام محکوم شدەاند جایز نیست.
دفاع آنها از حبیب و دیگر محکومان به اعدام دفاع از انسانیت است
