Fatemeh Karroubi: “They Lie! My Sons Have Not Seen Their Father Since Persian New Year!”

April 24th, 2012 – [Kaleme – Zahra Sadr]  In response to the recent lies published by media outlets associated with the ruling government claiming that opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi was seen vacationing with his son in the city of Kashan, Fatemeh Karroubi stated: ” My sons have not seen their father since Persian New Year. The claims by a number of media outlets associated with the ruling government that Mehdi Karroubi was seen enjoying himself along with his son and a number of security agents in the city of Kashan at Hamman Fin are false. Karroubi was forced to go on this trip without the knowledge of his family and without the presence of any of this sons.”

Many political pundits have expressed doubt regarding the recent news and reported images and rumors about Karroubi’s transfer to Kashan. Now Karroubi’s wife has also denied the reports published in both official and non official media outlets.

It seems as though given the current conditions in Iran the security apparatus seek to publish rumors, fabricating stories in order to create confusion and ambiguity regarding the now 15 month illegal house arrest of the leaders of the Green movement.

In an interview with Kaleme, Fatemeh Karroubi, Mehdi Karroubi’s wife who spent the first 7 months of his house arrest alongside him and was released in order to pursue medical treatment stated: “I was banned from visiting my husband for a long period of time. However as of Persian New Year they once again granted me visitation rights on Wednesdays.  This past Wednesday when I visited my husband I was informed that the day prior to  my visit, i.e. on Tuesday they had taken my husband out of town.  My husband had no idea what their plan was. He was only told that they will be leaving town. They drove him towards the city of Qom and Kashan, visited a mosque, ate and returned him to the location where he is being detained the same night.  Reportedly a number of pedestrians had seen Mr. Karroubi while he was out, had approached and greeted him. That is all the information we have of his supposed trip.”

While expressing her lament regarding the extent of the lies published by certain media outlets, Fatemeh Karroubi added: ” They published that Mr. Karroubi had traveled with our son; this while our son had no idea until I visited with his father that he had even left town.  I wish to understand why in the world they publish such lies? What is the purpose of such lies? Why state that my son was present when he was not?  My sons have not seen their father since we were allowed to see him during Persian New Year.”

While smiling Fatemeh Karroubi reiterated: ” Of course we were happy, but why lie about our sons being present when it was not the case? Why do you behave in a manner that leads to further distrust by our citizens? You publish the report and then create drama around it …”

Fatemeh Karroubi confirmed that her husband has been under house arrest for over 15 months adding: “I was with my husband for the first 7 months of his house arrest; after which he was moved to a very small apartment for 4 months and forced to cohabitate with security agents. They then told me that I have to lease a new place but forced us to move into a location that they had themselves moved into, while we paid the rent. My husband has been in this new building for 6 months and in solitary confinement for 15 months, deprived of access to the sun and fresh air. There is no yard. With the exception of a window, he has had absolutely no access what so every to fresh air – and even then, the security agents decide when and if the window can be opened.”

While pointing to Karroubi’s age, his wife continued: ” God knows what would happen even to a young person if they were to be deprived of everything, including the right to read news papers, regular visitations and fresh air. After 15 months and all this pressure and restrictions, they have taken him some place for one day and advertise it as though it is a common place event.  Naturally he has reached a point that if they don’t do anything, it may become dangerous to his health.  It goes without saying however, that my husband’s spirit remains strong.  He is steadfast and firm.  I truly don’t understand. I was surprised at the reaction by Keyhan and other media outlets associated with the ruling government. All I can say is that their behavior is truly regretful.”

While pointing to the fact that Iranian citizens will not ignore the truth despite the publication of such news, Mrs. Karroubi stated: ” Our nation is aware. Our people realize things. They ask questions and we tell them the truth regarding the physical limitations, the psychological pressure, being banned from access to fresh air and visitation with family members, lack of access to newspapers and television programs. We have informed the nation of nothing but the truth.”

Mrs. Karroubi added: ” To be fair, the behavior by the security agents have improved over the past few months, but the truth is that the conditions are very difficult to bear.  For example, Mr. Karroubi has to call and ask for permission to walk a few steps in the parking lot.”

While pointing to the illegal nature of Mr. Karroubi’s arrest, Mrs. Karroubi reiterated that if they were only under house arrest their condition would be very different adding: ” If they were under house arrest, they would be kept in their own homes and the law regarding house arrest would be very clear and specific.  They would remain at home and involved in their own lives. An agent would watch over them and their visitation rights would be restricted.  Perhaps they would even be deprived of some information. What they are enduring now is by no means a simple house arrest.”

Fatemeh Karroubi continued: ” We have had other public figures under house arrest in the past and their situation was completely different.  Mr. Karroubi is even deprived of his own home.  They have forced me to rent an expensive location that only meets their conditions and each month I must pay the high costs associated with my husband’s detention.  After all the restrictions and pressure he has had to endure, they have now forcefully taken him on a one day trip that was of no interest to my husband in order to demonstrate that he is not under pressure. We leave it up to our citizens to judge for themselves what is really going on.”

Mrs. Karroubi reiterated that she has not met with any government official or security agent and stated: ” Our prisoner has been in a complete state of limbo for 15 months.  I would like to take this time to thank our kind and aware citizens and remind them that Mr. Karroubi remains in strong spirits, he is steadfast and will continue to proudly stand with the people of Iran.  There is a price associated with standing firm.  Mr. Karroubi will continue to stand firm and is willing to pay an even higher price if necessary.”

In conclusion Fatemeh Karroubi once again reiterated that her husband’s 15 month detention, the fact that he has been deprived from his home and the presence of his family members in conditions very similar to solitary confinement is the least price he will  pay, given his objectives adding: ” My husband chose this path on his own and has always insisted that it is the path of the Imam, the revolution and our martyrs and he will continue on this path until the day that our Constitution is once again upheld.”

چکیده :چند روز پیش برخی رسانه های وابسته به جریان حاکم در خبرهایی ادعا کرده بودند که مهدی کروبی به همراه پسرش و با همراهی تعدادی مامور به گشت و گذار در کاشان و حمام فین این شهر پرداخته اند. اما فاطمه کروبی تصریح می کند که این سفر به اجبار، بدون اطلاع خانواده و بدون حضور پسرانش انجام شده است….

فاطمه کروبی با دروغ خواندن خبر رسانه های وابسته به حاکمیت در خصوص اوضاع عادی حجت الاسلام مهدی کروبی و سفر تفریحی وی به همراه فرزندش به کاشان، تصریح کرد: پسرهای من بعد از عید اصلا پدرشان را ندیده اند چه برسد به همراهی.

چند روز پیش برخی رسانه های وابسته به جریان حاکم در خبرهایی ادعا کرده بودند که مهدی کروبی به همراه پسرش و با همراهی تعدادی مامور به گشت و گذار در کاشان و حمام فین این شهر پرداخته اند. اما فاطمه کروبی تصریح می کند که این سفر به اجبار، بدون اطلاع خانواده و بدون حضور پسرانش انجام شده است.

بسیاری از ناظران سیاسی در روزهای اخیر نسبت به اهداف انتقال آقای کروبی به کاشان که با تصویربرداری مستمر و شایعه سازی های رسانه ای نیز همراه بوده، ابراز شک و تردید کرده اند و اکنون همسر حجت الاسلام کروبی نیز به تکذیب این خبر به شکلی که در رسانه های رسمی و غیر رسمی منتشر شده می پردازد.

به نظر می رسد فضاسازی های اخیر و شرایط کشور، نهادهای امنیتی را بر آن داشته تا با نشر شایعات و خبرسازی ها و همچنین ایجاد فضاهایی مبهم، حبس رهبران و همراهان جنبش سبز را که ۱۵ ماه از آن می گذرد کمرنگ و در ابهام نشان دهند.

فاطمه کروبی، همسر مهدی کروبی که ۷ ماه از دوران حبس را در کنار همسرش بوده و به دلیل درمان های پزشکی آزاد شده است در گفت و گو با کلمه می گوید: بعد از مدتی که ممنوع الملاقات بودم، از عید امسال روزهای چهارشنبه به من ملاقات می دهند و من چهارشنبه ی هفته ی گذشته که ایشان را دیدم، خبردار شدم که روز گذشته یعنی سه شنبه، آقای کروبی را بردند بیرون از شهر. خودشان خبر نداشتند برنامه چیست. فقط به ایشان گفته شده که می رویم بیرون، که حرکت کردند به سمت قم و کاشان و امامزاده و مسجدی هم رفته اند و غذا خورده بودند و شب هم به محل حبس خودشان بر گردانده شدند. مردمی هم گذری رد شده بودند که چند نفری هم جلو آمده بودند و سلام و علیک کردند با ایشان. این همه ی اطلاع ما از این سفر ایشان است.

وی با بیان اینکه چقدر بد است که بعضی از رسانه ها اینقدر راحت دروغ می گویند، تصریح می کند: نوشته بودند آقای کروبی به همراه پسرمان رفتند. در صورتی که روح پسرم هم تا چهارشنبه که من به ملاقات رفتم از این برنامه خبر نداشت. واقعا دوست دارم بدانم چه ارزشی داشت گفتن این دروغ که پسر من هم بوده در این برنامه. پسرهای من بعد از عید اصلا پدرشان را ندیده اند چه برسد به همراهی.

فاطمه کروبی در ادامه، با لبخندی تاکید می کند: البته ما خوشحال می شدیم، ولی وقتی نبردید چرا دروغ می گویید و مردم را هر روز بی اعتمادتر می کنید؟ خودتان می برید، خودتان خبرش را می دهید، خودتان هم سر و صدا می کنید.

همسر مهدی کروبی با تاکید بر اینکه آقای کروبی ۱۵ ماه است که در بازداشت به سر می برد، اضافه می کند: هفت ماه هم از این دوران را که من هم همراهشان بودم. حدود چهار ماه هم که در یک ساختمان کوچک بودند و آقایان مامورین هم در کنارشان حضور داشتند. بعد به من گفتند که باید جایی را اجاره کنید و مجبورمان کردند جایی را که خودشان در آن مستقر هستند اجاره کنم و مبلغ اجاره را هم خودم باید بپردازم. شش ماه در این ساختمان و ۱۵ ماه است که در انفرادی از آفتاب و هوای آزاد محروم هستند. حیاطی نیست که استفاده کنند. مطلقا به هوای آزاد دسترسی ندارند، جز یک پنجره که [ماموران] هر وقت بخواهند خودشان می آیند و باز می کنند.

وی در ادامه با اشاره به سن و سال مهدی کروبی می افزاید: حتی جوان هم در این شرایط محروم از همه چیز، از روزنامه، ملاقات های مرتب و هوای آزاد معلوم است چه اتفاقی برایش میفتد. حالا بعد از ۱۵ ماه این همه فشار و محدودیت، یک روز بردند و باز هم در همان شرایط چرخاندند و حالا دارند این طور روی آن تبلیغات می کنند. طبیعی است که ایشان از نظر جسمی بالاخره به حدی رسیده اند که نیاز هست از این کارها بکنند وگرنه خطرناک می شود. البته از نظر روحی بسیار خوب اند، محکم و استوار و هیچ مشکلی هم ندارند. اما من واقعا نمی فهمم. تعجب کردم از این واکنش های کیهان و رسانه های آنها، و فقط می توانم بگویم متاسفم.

فاطمه کروبی همچنین با اشاره به اینکه مردم ما قرار نیست با این خبرها حقیقت را نادیده بگیرند، تصریح می کند: ملت ما آگاه اند، مردم ما به خوبی می دانند، سوال می کنند و ما واقعیت ها را می گوییم: محدودیت های فیزیکی، روحی، محرومیت از هوا و خانواده و کتاب، روزنامه. خبر رسانی در حد یک تلویزیون هست. همه ی حقایق را می گوییم.

وی در گفت و گو با خبرنگار کلمه می گوید: از حق نگذریم البته برخوردهای شخصی ماموران چند ماه است که بهتر شده است. اما واقعیت این است که شرایط خیلی بدی دارند. البته آقای موسوی و خانمشان هم همینطور. شما توجه کنید آقای کروبی الان باید زنگ بزند و در خواست کند که اجازه بدهند نهایتا بروند چند دقیقه قدمی بزنند در پارکینگ.

همسر مهدی کروبی با اشاره به نوع بازداشت غیر قانونی موسوی و کروبی، تاکید می کند که اگر این ها حصر بودند شرایطشان به طور کلی متفاوت بود، و ادامه می دهد: اگر در حصر بودند باید در خانه خودشان نگهداری می شدند و قانون هایش هم مشخص است. در خانه می مانند، سر زندگی خودشان، فقط ماموری آنجا می ماند که رفت و آمدهای متفرقه محدود و کنترل شده شود. از بعضی اطلاع رسانی ها هم جلوگیری می شود و نه این شرایطی که الان اعمال شده است.

وی می گوید: در این سال ها هم داشتیم بزرگانی دیگر که در حصر بودند و شکل آن کاملا متفاوت بوده است. آقای کروبی الان از خانه ی خودش هم محروم است. من را مجبور کرده اند خانه ای با شرایطی که خودشان می گویند اجاره کنم و هر ماه مبلغ زیادی هزینه ی آن می شود. با این همه شرایط و سختی ها که تحمیل کردند و می کنند، حالا یک سفر اجباری و یک روزه که هیچ جذابیتی هم نداشته بردند که بگویند فشار نیست؟ ما این را می گذاریم به قضاوت خود مردم و ملت.

فاطمه کروبی با تاکید بر اینکه تا به حال با هیچ مسئول یا ماموری ملاقات نداشته است، می گوید: زندانی ما ۱۵ ماه است در بلاتکلیفی کامل به سر می برد. اما می خواهم از محبت و توجه شما و مردم فهیم تشکر و یادآوری کنم که ملت بدانند که آقای کروبی همانند گذشته با روحیه قوی و و استوار و خوب در کنار مردم خواهند بود و به این در کنار مردم بودن هم افتخار می کنند. ایستادن هزینه دارد و ایشان همچنان هزینه می دهند و آمادگی پرداخت هزینه های بیشتر را هم دارند.

همسر مهدی کروبی در پایان با اشاره به اینکه ۱۵ ماه زندانی و دور از خانه و خانواده در انفرادی و محرومیت ها کمترین هزینه است در برابر هدفی که ایشان دارند، می افزاید: این راهی است که خودشان آن را قبول کردند و همیشه می گویند راه ما راه امام و انقلاب و خون شهدا است و تا رسیدن به روزی که قانون اساسی کاملا رعایت شود، این راه را ادامه خواهیم داد.

Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard Rendered Incommunicado Once Again

April 23rd, 2012 – [Kaleme] Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard have once again been rendered incommunicado for the past two weeks. After their last visit with their family during Persian New Year [Norooz] that lasted only a few hours and with the exception of two brief telephone conversations, the family has had no news of them what so ever. For the past two weeks they not only have been banned from any telephone conversations with their daughters,  but the authorities have also refused to provide any information regarding their well being.  In a recent telephone conversation with Rahnavard’s ailing mother, Mousavi and Rahnavard reportedly explained that they are no longer allowed to call their daughters.

The recent rumors and irresponsible innuendos by media outlets associated with the security apparatus in Iran regarding Mir Hossein Mousavi’s physical well being,  has increased the family’s concerns ; this despite the fact that Mousavi and Rahnavard both confirmed that they are in good health during their last brief visit with the family during Norooz. The security agents in charge of Mousavi and Rahnavard’s house arrest are currently the only source of information regarding their condition. Nonetheless, they have refused to provide any information on the companions of the Green movement to date.

Under Iran’s legal system and international law and in accordance with human principles and ethics, even those who have committed a crime have the right to regular telephone conversations and visitations. Although neither Mousavii nor karroubi  have committed any crimes except to express responsibility towards the issues facing our nation and vow to stand with the nation, they nevertheless remain under house arrest and no one has accepted responsibility for their continued illegal detention.  The restrictions imposed upon them are unprecedented. They have been stripped of all their legal rights and their family members have been subjected to psychological harassment.

The heavily secured and narrow deadend Akhtar street where Mousavi and Rahnavard are reportedly being held is now fortified with a variety of newly installed security measures including tall doors and iron fences, blocking it from site.  The Mousavi residence is in the vicinity of the security bases of the IRGC. It goes without saying that given the location of the Mousavi residence this level of isolation is alarming at best. (The photo below provides an overview of the two buildings. Although Mousavi and Rahnavard have been under house arrest for 14 months, it has been months since any lights have been seen turned on or any sounds heard from their building and their family members have been kept in the dark regarding their condition for long periods at a time, leading to even more concern.

As a result of the lack of communication over the past two weeks and mounting concerns, a number of Mousavi and Rahnavard’s family members recently went to Akhtar street with the hope to obtain any information regarding their status.  However, like all other prior occasions when arriving at Akhtar street they were told by the prison guards watching the area that no one lives there. The guards event went as far as saying: ” Go visit the place where Mousavi is rumored to be kept. This is not Mosuavi’s residence.”

This is not the first time that the security personnel in front of Mousavi’s residence have behaved in such an irresponsible manner.  They continue to occupy Mousavi’s  residence despite the fact that a legal case has not been filed against him.  It goes without saying that Mousavi’s children and family members like any other citizen have the right to want to see their incarcerated loved ones and to find out about their well being. The concerns of the family members will naturally only subside if they are granted face to face visitation with Mousavi and Rahnavard in the absence of security agents – a request that unfortunately has not been met to date.

بیش از دو هفته بی‌خبری مطلق از میرحسین و رهنورد؛ محرومیت دختران از تماس تلفنی

چکیده :پس از ملاقات چند ساعته نوروزی و نیز دو تماس محدود تلفنی، هم اکنون بیش از دو هفته است که خانواده به طور مطلق، هیچ خبری از آنها ندارند و در این مدت، نه تنها امکان تماس تلفنی و احوالپرسی ساده هم از ایشان سلب شده است بلکه امکان کسب خبر از آنها نیز به طور عجیبی سلب شده است. همچنین در حالی که میرحسین و رهنورد در دیدار کوتاه نوروزی خود بر سلامتشان تاکید کرده اند، خبرپراکنی های غیرمسئولانه درباره سلامت جسمی میرحسین که منشأ آنها به نهادهای امنیتی می رسد، بر نگرانی خانواده افزوده است….

 

بیش از دو هفته است که خانواده آقای موسوی و خانم رهنورد از وضعیت آنها مطلقا بی اطلاع اند.

به گزارش کلمه، پس از ملاقات چند ساعته نوروزی و نیز دو تماس محدود تلفنی، هم اکنون بیش از دو هفته است که خانواده به طور مطلق، هیچ خبری از آنها ندارند و در این مدت، نه تنها امکان تماس تلفنی و احوالپرسی ساده هم از ایشان سلب شده است بلکه امکان کسب خبر از آنها نیز به طور عجیبی سلب شده است. آنها اخیرا در صحبتی تلفنی با مادر پیر رهنورد، به وی گفته اند که به ایشان اجازه تماس تلفنی با فرزندان را نخواهند داد.

 

در حالی که میرحسین و رهنورد در دیدار کوتاه نوروزی خود بر سلامتشان تاکید کرده اند، خبرپراکنی های غیرمسئولانه درباره سلامت جسمی میرحسین که منشأ آنها به نهادهای امنیتی می رسد، بر نگرانی خانواده افزوده است. با توجه به حصر کامل این دو همراه جنبش سبز، تنها منبع مسئول درباره وضعیت میرحسین و رهنورد، نهادهای امنیتی هستند که آنها نیز تاکنون از قبول مسئولیت در این زمینه طفره رفته اند.

 

بر اساس قوانین داخلی کشورمان و قواعد بین المللی، و همچنین طبق ضوابط عرفی و اخلاقی، حتی مجرمان نیز باید از حق تماس تلفنی منظم و ملاقات برخوردار باشند. اما حاکمیت در حالی که موسوی و کروبی هیچ جرمی جز تعهد و مسئولیت پذیری نسبت به مسائل کشور ندارند، همچنان حاضر نیست مسئولیت بازداشت غیرقانونی آنها را بپذیرد. در عین حال، محرومیت مضاعف و بی‌سابقه ی آنها از حقوق ابتدایی نیز تبدیل به ابزاری برای آزار روانی خانواده میرحسین و رهنورد و نیز بالعکس برای خود آنها شده است.

 

بر اساس این گزارش، محل قرارگیری خانه‌‌ ای که این دو در آن زندانی اند، در فضای کاملا محافظت شده ی خیابان پاستور و در بن بست باریک اختر، اکنون با انواع درهای بلند و قطور و موانع امنیتی از چشم عابران پنهان تر از قبل شده است. این خانه در همسایگی یکی از پایگاههای حفاظت اطلاعات سپاه و چند نهاد امنیتی دیگر قرار دارد و ایزوله بودن شدید آنها در حالت عادی نیز خود به تنهایی موجب نگرانی است. (محل منزل میرحسین و ساختمان مجاوری که نیروهای امنیتی در آن استقرار دارند، در عکس انتهای خبر با رنگ های سبز و قرمز مشخص شده است.)

 

همچنین در طول چهارده ماهی که از بازداشت خانگی میرحسین و رهنورد می گذرد، ماههای طولانی ای که هیچ خبر و حتی صدا یا نوری از آن ساختمان ها به بیرون نمی رسید و خانواده در دوره های زمانی طولانی در بی خبری از آن دو قرار می گرفتند، همواره از عوامل تشدید کننده نگرانی ها بوده است.

 

بر اساس این گزارش، بی خبری اخیر که باعث نگرانی خانواده و نزدیکان میرحسین شده بود، سبب شد که در روزهای گذشته برخی اقوام مهندس موسوی و خانم رهنورد به منزل کوچه اختر مراجعه کنند اما آنها بار دیگر با پاسخ تکراری و غیر مسئولانه ی زندانبانان مواجه شدند که می گفتند: کسی اینجا زندگی نمی کند. آنها می گفتند به همان جایی که شایعه شده موسوی آنجاست مراجعه کنید؛ اینجا خانه موسوی نیست!

 

این چندمین بار است که چنین سخن غیر مسئولانه ای از سوی ماموران مستقر در منزل میرحسین موسوی بیان می شود، این در حالی است که آنها بدون هرگونه توجیه شرعی و قانونی به اشغال خانه موسوی پرداخته اند و در عین حال با رفتارشان بر نگرانی های خانواده و نزدیکان افزوده اند. حال آنکه حق طبیعی فرزندان و اقوام است که بدانند عزیزان زندانی شان در چه وضعی قرار دارند. پایان یافتن دغدغه های به حق خانواده و فرزندان طبیعتا تنها در دیداری رو به رو و بدون حضور مستمر ماموران امنیتی ممکن می شود تا در آن از چند و چون واقعیات جاری با خبر شوند؛ مساله ای که تاکنون امکان آن فراهم نشده است.

 

The Harsh Realities of Visitations From Behind A Cabin Window – By Journalist Jila Baniyhagoob

Monday April 16th, 2012 – [Jila Baniyaghoob] Monday is once again upon us, bringing with it visitation day for political prisoners at Evin prison.  It is time to once again visit our loved ones  from behind a cabin window… but this time because of the lack of space some of us had to sit behind cabin windows with bars.  As if the thick double pane glass was not bad enough, we now had to contend with metal bars

The atmosphere is distressing and uncomfortable. Atefeh says that she had not been granted a face to face visitation with her family for more than six months. Farzaneh describes how painful it is to visit with loved ones from behind a cabin window.

The truth is the atmosphere in the visitation room is always somewhat depressing. The opaque, double pane windows and thick metal bars, the telephones with the unbearable static noise that make is so difficult for one to hear ones loved one, and let us not forget the button on the damn phone that the prisoner is constantly forced to press down when speaking – the damn thing is so hard that their fingers get tired and their voices are often cut off.  They say the button is designed to facilitate the conversation. What a cryptic telecom system! Could they not have designed something that does not involve a button that the prisoner is forced to press on during the entire duration of the conversation?

The visitation room is very poorly lit, creating a dark and bleak atmosphere. There are not enough chairs for the prisoners and their family members to sit on and as a result each time many are forced to stand during the entire duration of their visit.  We have complained to the prison officials on numerous occasions regarding the lack of chairs. How much can it cost to supply the prisoners and their families with second hand, plastic chairs?

The atmosphere in the visitation room is tormenting. The filthy chairs look as though they have not been washed in years.  This week I spoke with the prison official and asked that we be allowed to bring cleaning material to clean the chairs ourselves.   Atefeh says that the condition of the visitation room is an insult to human dignity.

Our visitation ends and Atefeh says referring to the prisoners: “They seemed so down today…  “.

I was in the midst of a conversation with Bahman when the damn curtain dropped and the telephone went dead. It has been this way for ever. So many half finished sentences. So many thoughts left unsaid until the next visitation when the curtain will once again cut you off in mid sentence.  Every time the curtain drops, it seems as though you forget what it is that you were about to say….

Before the curtain dropped, I placed my hand on the double pane window and Bahman placed his on the other side right across from mine…

این یعنی ملاقات کابینی

باز هم دوشنبه، باز هم روز ملاقات زندانیان سیاسی در اوین، روز ملاقات کابینی …و این بار به دلیل کمبود جا عده ای از ما را مجبور کردند که پشت کابین‌هایی بنشینیم که میله های آهنی داشت، یعنی آن شیشه های قطور دو جداره کم بود این میله‌ها هم اضافه شد.

فضای ملاقات تلخ بود، عاطفه می‌گفت شش ماه هست ملاقات حضوری نداشته، فرزانه می‌گفت که چقدر ملاقات از پشت این میله‌ها آزار دهنده تر است.

اصلاً، می‌دانید، یک جورهایی فضای سالن ملاقات تلخ است، با آن شیشه های دو جداره ی کدر، با آن میله های کلفت فلزی، با آن تلفن‌هایی که خش خش می‌کنند و تو باید صدای عزیزت را از آن پشت بشنوی…و آن شاسی لعنتی روی گوشی تلفن که زندانی موقع مکالمه باید مدام با انگشتش روی آن فشار بدهد و گاهی از خستگی شدید انگشت که کنار می‌رود صدایش قطع می‌شود. می‌گویند این شاسی‌ها مربوط به شنود تلفن است، باید سیستم عقب مانده ای باشد این جور شنود …یعنی نمی‌توانند سیستمی طراحی کنند که زندانی مجبور نباشد در تمام زمان مکالمه دستش را روی این دکمه فشار بدهد.

فضای سالن ملاقات نور کم دارد، یک جور تاریکی غم افزا دارد، صندلی‌ها برای نشستن خانواده‌ها و زندانی‌ها کم است و هر بار تعدادی مجبورند در تمام طول ملاقات بایستند. چند بار به مسوولان اعتراض کرده‌ایم که چرا تعداد لازم و کافی صندلی در سالن

ملاقات نیست، مگر هزینه خرید این صندلی‌های دست دوم پلاستیکی چقدر است؟

فضای سالن ملاقات دل آزار است، با آن صندلی‌های کثیف که انگار سال‌ها شسته نشده است. این هفته به مسوول سالن ملاقات گفتم اجازه بدهید که خودمان وسایل شوینده بیاوریم که این صندلی‌ها را بشوییم.

عاطفه می‌گوید:وضعیت این سالن ملاقات، کرامت انسانی را خدشه دار می‌کند.

ملاقات تمام می‌شود و عاطفه می‌گوید: چقدر رفتنشان امروز تلخ‌تر از همیشه بود.

رفتن زندانی‌ها را می‌گوید.

هنوز داشتم با بهمن حرف می‌زدم که پرده لعنتی پایین آمد و صدای تلفن قطع شد، مدت‌هاست که همین طور است و جمله‌ات نیمه تمام می‌ماند و تا ملاقات بعدی یادت می‌رود که آن پرده کجای جمله‌ات را قطع کرد که دوباره ادامه‌اش بدهی، اصلاً همین که پرده پایین می‌افتد همان موقع یادت می‌رود چه داشتی می‌گفتی…

قبل از اینکه پرده پایین بیاید، دستم را روی شیشه ی دو جداره گذاشتم و بهمن هم از آن سو، از پشت دو شیشه قطور درست دستش را گذاشت همان جایی که من دستم را گذاشته بودم.

این یعنی ملاقات کابینی

War Veteran Mohmmad Reza Motamednia Transferred to Solitary Confinement Amidst Roars of “Ya Hossein, Mir Hossein”!

April 16th, 2012 – [Kaleme] According to reports from Evin prison, war veteran and adviser to martyr rajai,  Bahonar and Mir Hossein Mousavi has been transferred from the general ward at Evin prison into solitary confinement.

Despite his deteriorating physical condition, Motamednia who launched a hunger strike on Monday April 9th, 2012  protesting the continued illegal house arrest of Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard and Mehdi Karroubi was reportedly transferred to solitary confinement at Evin’s ward 240 on the afternoon of Sunday April 15th on orders of prison officials. 

As per the same reports, following the announcement on the prison loud speakers regarding Motamednia’s transfer to solitary confinement, the other political prisoners formed a circle around him and began singing “Yareh Dabestani Man” [My childhood schoolmate] and “Ey Iran” [a popular Iranian anthem].

Motamednia, adviser to martyr Rajai and opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi reportedly knelt in front of the other prisoners, kissed the prison floor and asked his merciful God to remove all injustice and the ruthless and unjust from his beloved land – and while he was being escorted out of Evin prison’s ward 350, his prison mates were heard emotionally chanting: “Ya Hossein… Mir Hossein…”!

It is worth mentioning that Motamednia has lost sensation in the fingers of his right hand since the launch of his hunger strike. 

Motamednia was arrested during the aftermath of the rigged presidential elections on June 29th, 2009 and held in solitary confinement for two months prior to being released on bail. He was later sentenced to one year prison by the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided by Judge Pir Abassi on charges of propaganda against the regime and transferred to Evin prison on August 12th, 2011 in order to begin serving his prison sentence.

While incarcerated at Evin’s Ward 2A [under the supervision of the IRGC], Motamednia developed gum disease and injuries to his spinal cord as a result of the excessive pressures and poor prison conditions.  He has suffered from repeated bleeding of the gums as a result of severe Periodontitis and the prison doctors have even recommended that he be treated at a facility outside of Evin prison.   Despite his deteriorating health, Motamednia, a member of Mir Hossein Mousavi’s electoral campaign is continuing his hunger strike at Evin’s ward 240 and has announced that he will continue until the illegal house arrest of the leaders of the Green movement has been lifted.

This is not the first time that a political prison on hunger strike has been transferred to solitary confinement with the goal to break down their resistance. In fact this type of reaction has become common place at Evin.

چکیده : پس از پخش نام معتمدنیا از بلندگوی بند٣۵٠ و اعلام انتقال تنبیهی و انضباطی وی به سلول انفرادی، دیگر زندانیان سیاسی اطراف وی حلقه زدند و یکصدا شروع به خواندن سرودهای یار دبستانی و ای ایران کردند. مشاور شهید رجایی و مهندس موسوی نیز هنگام ترک سالن بند ٣۵٠ جلوی پای زندانیانی که برای بدرقه وی آمده بودند، سجده کرد و در حالی که زمین زندان را می بوسید، از پروردگار خویش خواست تا بساط ظلم و ظالم را از این سرزمین برچیند. همبندیان وی نیز در فضایی عاطفی، با شعار “یا حسین میرحسین” او را بدرقه…

مسئولان زندان اوین، روز گذشته محمدرضا معتمدنیا را از بند٣۵٠ خارج و به سلول انفرادی منتقل کردند.

به گزارش خبرنگار کلمه، این زندانی سیاسی بند٣۵٠ که در اعتراض به ادامه حبس میرحسین موسوی، زهرا رهنورد و مهدی کروبی از تاریخ ٩١/١/٢١ اعتصاب غذا کرده بود، بعد از ظهر یکشنبه ٢٧ فروردین در شرایطی که شدت ضعف ناشی از اعتصاب در چهره اش نمایان بود، با دستور مسئولان زندان اوین به سلول انفرادی بند٢۴٠ منتقل شد.

محمدرضا معتمدنیا، که مشاور اجرایی فرماندهی ستادکل قوا و از مسئولان پشتیبانی جنگ در دوران دفاع مقدس و نماینده ویژه شهید رجایی، باهنر و مهندس میرحسین موسوی در بخش صنعت و معدن بوده، در حالی به دنبال اعتصاب غذا به سلول انفرادی منتقل شده است که انگشتان دست راستش به دلیلی نامشخص بی حس و فلج شده است.

وی در جریان حوادث پس از انتخابات ریاست جمهوری سال ٨٨ در تاریخ ٨ تیرماه توسط اطلاعات سپاه احضار و بازداشت شد و پس از دو ماه انفرادی با قرار وثیقه آزاد شد. وی در شعبه ٢۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران توسط قاضی پیرعباسی به اتهام تبلیغ علیه نظام محکوم و در تاریخ ٢١ مرداد ماه ٩٠ برای سپری کردن دوران محکومیتش روانه زندان اوین شد.

آقای معتمدنیا به دلیل فشارهای روحی و شرایط نامناسب دوران بازداشت در بند ٢الف سپاه به بیماری لثه و آسیب های نخاعی دچار شده است. لثه او بر اثر عفونت شدید دچار خون‌ریزی های مکرر شده است، تا جایی که پزشکان زندان عنوان کرده اند درمان وی باید در خارج از زندان انجام شود. با این حال این عضو ستاد میرحسین موسوی هم اکنون در سلول انفرادی بند ٢۴٠ زندان اوین به اعتصاب غذای خود ادامه می‌دهد و اعلام کرده که تا شکسته شدن حصر و حبس رهبران جنبش سبز مقاومت خواهد کرد.

این اولین بار نیست که زندانیانی که دست به اعتصاب غذا می‌زنند، برای اعمال فشار بر آنها جهت دست کشیدن از اقدامشان، به سلول انفرادی منتقل می‌شوند؛ تا جایی که این به یک رویه در رفتار مسئولان زندان‌ها بدل شده است

Incarcerated War Veteran Mohammad Reza Motamednia Vows to Continue Hunger Strike Until Mir Hossein Mousavi is Freed

April 9th, 2012 – [Kaleme] In a statement from Evin prison and protesting against the injustices, cruelty, cowardice, continued pressure and the unfair treatment by the ruling government of Iran of those who were martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and in recognition, respect and gratitude towards Iran’s national and religious beliefs,  Mohammad Reza Motamednia announced that he will begin a wet hunger strike as of Monday April 9th, 2012 and until such time that the Prime Minister of the Imam [Khomeini] [Mir Hossein Mousavi] is released from illegal house arrest.

In his statement issued from Evin prison Motamednia former adviser to the Chief of Staff, one of the supporters of the eight year holy war against Iraq and special  representative to Bahonar and Mir Hossein Mousavi in the mining industry emphasized: “During the next 45 days, in the event that my demands are not met,  I will only consume water from sunset until early morning prayer”

It is worth mentioning that Motamednia also launched a hunger strike in February of last year but put an end to that hunger strike when his demands were finally met.  Motamednia was arrested during the aftermath of the rigged presidential elections on June 29th, 2009 and held in solitary confinement for two months prior to being released on bail. The full content of Motamednia’s statement provided to Kaleme is as follows:

In the name of God the Merciful,

“When Allah made a covenant with those who were given the Book: ‘You shall explain it for the people and you shall not conceal it,’ they cast it behind their backs and sold it for a paltry gain. How evil is what they buy!” (Surah Aal-e-Imran 3:187)

More than a year has passed since the house arrest of the innocent and oppressed leaders of the Green movement. During this time the political pressure and oppression has increased to such a degree that even the cries for justices by freedom seeking Iranian patriots have been suppressed with threats, incarceration, beatings and harsh and unfair prison sentences by the judiciary. Alas, throughout it all he who is responsible for all the oppression has sat idly while the rights of a nation protected under the Constitution , a constitution that embodies the ideals of the Islamic Revolution of February 1979 and is based on the fortitude and courage of a brave and oppressed nation and the martyrs of our land have been ignored. He [who is responsible] seeks to deprive our nation of their sovereign rights to such a degree that today the idea of freedom of thought and expression and any form of political activity has been criminalized, resulting in heavy, unfair and unjust sentences designed to limit any form of activity and silence an entire nation. 

To this end, I Mohmmad Reza Motamednia, one of the sons of the Islamic Revolution of our beloved land, in objection to all this cruelty and cowardice and undue pressure on the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Republic, vow to stand true to the religious and cultural beliefs of our nation, launching a hunger strike on Monday April 9th 2012, placing myself in the hands of God,  until such time that the former prime minister to the Imam Khomeini, Mir Hossein Mousavi’s house arrest has been lifted and this beloved and honorable son of the Islamic Revolution, Ario Barzan, Sattar Khan, Bagher Khan, and other historically renowned martyrs such as Hemat and Bakeri, his wife Zahra Rahnavard and Mehdi Karroubi have been released.

During the next 45 days, in the event that my demands are not met,  I will only consume water from sunset until early morning prayer.

این زندانی سیاسی بهمن ماه سال گذشته نیز دست به اعتصاب غذای تر زده بود که پس از موافقت با خواسته هایش به اعتصاب غذا پایان داد.

آن زمان دادستان تهران طی نامه ای دستور موافقت و اجرایی شدن خواسته های این زندانی سیاسی را صادر کرده بود.

متن کامل اعلام نامه ی اعتصاب غذای محمدرضا معتمدنیا به گزارش کلمه، به شرح زیر است:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

وَإِذَ أَخَذَ اللّهُ مِیثَاقَ الَّذِینَ أُوتُواْ الْکِتَابَ لَتُبَیِّنُنَّهُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلاَ تَکْتُمُونَهُ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَاء ظُهُورِهِمْ وَاشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِیلًا فَبِئْسَ مَا یَشْتَرُونَ (آل عمران ۱۸۷)

خداوند از بندگانش عهد گرفت که در مسیر آگاهی بخشی اهتمام شود و حقایق به بهای مواهب کوتاه و ناچیز دنیوی کتمان نشود و بر آن پرده سکوت کشیده نشود چرا که سکوت و کناره نشینی گناهی عظیم است.

 

اکنون که بیش از یکسال از حبس خانگی رهبران مظلوم جنبش سبز می گذرد و در این مدت فشار سیاسی و اختناق روز افزون شده است به نحوی که هر صدای حق طلبانه که از گلوی هر ایرانی وطن پرست و آزادی خواهی بر آید با تهدید و حبس و ضرب و شتم و احکام قضایی سنگین و ناعادلانه سرکوب می شود و متاسفانه جناج سرکوبگر بی اعتنا به حقوق حقه ملت، مندرج در قانون اساسی وقعی ننهاده و شیوه ای که در انقلاب اسلامی در بهمن ۵۷ با پایمردی و رشادت مردم شجاع و مظلوم و شهدای این مرز و بوم تثبیت شد، قصد سلب حق حاکمیت ملت و آزادی های مشروع آنان را دارد به گونه ای که امروز ابراز آزادانه افکار و برخوردار دانستن از حق فعالیت آزاد سیاسی جرم تلقی شده است و احکام سنگین و نابحق و ناجوانمردانه ای که به جهت این محدود سازی ها و جرم تراشی های ساختگی صادر شده است، این جانب که خود را یکی از فرزندان این مرز و بوم و انقلاب اسلامی مردم شریف کشور می دانم و در اعتراض به همه این ظلم ها و نامردی ها و اعمال فشار نا به جا و نا عادلانه و به پاس حرمت خون همه شهدای انقلاب اسلامی و به پاس احترام به تمامی باورهای اعتقادی و ملی مان، تا رفع کامل حصر خانگی نخست وزیر امام، این فرزند برومند انقلاب اسلامی و وارث آرش، آریو برزن، ستارخان، باقر خان، شهید باکری و شهید همت و سایر رادمردان تاریخ ایران بزرگ سردار آزادی خواه نسل حاضر جناب مهندس موسوی و همسر مبارز و اندیشمندش سرکار خانم دکتر زهرا رهنورد و جناب حجت الاسلام و المسلمین کروبی با یاری ایزد منان از روز دوشنبه ۹۱/۱/۲۱ اعتصاب غذای (اعتصاب تر) خود را اعلام می نمایم و در این راه فقط و فقط به خداوند بزرگ توکل خواهم داشت.

Journalist & Green Movement Activist Reyhaneh Tabatabaie Sentenced to One Year in Prison

April 2nd, 2012 – [Kaleme] Journalist and Green Movement activist Reyhaneh Tabatabaie has been charged with seeking to obtain free and fair elections and publishing news regarding the Green Movement. According to the latest reports received by Kaleme, Tabatabaie has been sentenced to 1 year in prison by the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided under by Judge Moghiseh.

Tabatabaie’s efforts to obtain free and fair elections through “the elimination of approbatory supervision by the Guardian Council and the reform of the Guardian Council, her support of freedom of the press, the ability for political parties to freely form and be active, the freedom of all political prisoners affiliated with the sedition and ensuring lack of interference of security forces in politics and the economic developments of the country and their return to the barracks” have been interpreted as “undermining the pillars of the Islamic Republic”. Despite the fact that Tabatabaie’s activities are rooted in the Constitution and the slogans of the Islamic Revolution, Tabatabaie’s actions have nevertheless been interpreted as based on the diversionary ideas and philosophy of Mostafa Tajzadeh.**

Tabatabaie’s sentence also includes charges related to publishing the news regarding political prisoners and news regarding the Green Movement, specifically “hi-lighting the news of the defendants associated with seditious activities in the aftermath of the presidential elections with the intent to  keep the seditious movement alive.” Tabatabaie has also been charged with “attending the ceremony held for Neda Agha Soltan [innocent Iranian martyred during the demonstrations that took place after the rigged presidential elections] on the 40th day after her martyrdom, attending the candlelight vigil held in her honor on Vali Asr street and participating in protests held by the families of political prisoners in front of Evin prison – all sited as incidents falling under article 500 of the Constitution entitled “propaganda against the regime.”

Tabatabaie’s sentence is currently undergoing the initial phase of the judiciary process and as such can be appealed.  It is worth mentioning that Reyhaneh Tabatabaie was first arrested on December 12th 2010 by the IRGC,  spending 36 days in solitary confinement and  being interrogated at the IRGC ward 2A at Evin prison.

Tabatabaie is currently political editor at Shargh News Paper.  Tabatabaie’s resume includes positions with the magazine “Iraneh Farda”, Sinah News Agency and newspapers such as Kalameh Sabz, Bahar and Faraheekhtegan.

This latest sentence was presented to Tabatabaie on March 28th, 2012 during the Persian New Year, Norooz holidays.

چکیده :ریحانه طباطبایی، روزنامه نگار، به اتهام فعالیت برای دستیابی به انتخابات آزاد و انتشار اخبار جنبش سبز، از سوی شعبه 28 دادگاه انقلاب به ریاست قاضی مقیسه، به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد….

 

ریحانه طباطبایی، روزنامه نگار، به اتهام فعالیت برای دستیابی به انتخابات آزاد و انتشار اخبار جنبش سبز، از سوی شعبه ۲۸ دادگاه انقلاب به ریاست قاضی مقیسه، به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.

 

به گزارش خبرنگار کلمه، در حکم صادره برای این روزنامه نگار و فعال جنبش سبز، تلاش برای انتخابات آزاد از طریق”حذف نظارت استصوابی شورای نگهبان و اصلاح شورای نگهبان، مطبوعات آزاد، احزاب آزاد و آزادی زندانیان اغتشاشات و فتنه گران و عدم دخالت نظامیان در سیاست و اقتصاد و بازگشت نظامیان به پادگان ها” به معنای “تضعیف ارکان نظام جمهوری اسلامی” فرض شده و این موارد که همگی ریشه در قانون اساسی و شعارهای انقلاب دارد را “بر اساس ایده و نظریه انحرافی مصطفی تاجزاده” دانسته اند!

 

در بخش های دیگری از حکم صادره برای این روزنامه نگار، انتشار اخبار زندانیان سیاسی و دیگر اخبار جنبش سبز به عنوان “زنده نگهداشتن جریان فتنه و برجسته کردن اخبار مربوط به محکومان جریان فتنه و متهمان حوادث پس از انتخابات” عنوان شده و نیز “شرکت در مراسم چهلم ندا آقا سلطان و سهراب اعرابی و مراسم شمع روشن کردن در خیابان ولی عصر و شرکت در تجمع اعتراضی خانواده های زندانیان و محکومان در مقابل زندان اوین” به عنوان دیگر مصادیق ارتکاب ماده ۵۰۰ قانون مجازات اسلامی موسوم به “تبیلغ علیه نظام” ذکر شده است.

 

این حکم در مرحله بدوی است و امکان درخواست تجدیدنظر درباره آن وجود دارد.

 

ریحانه طباطبایی در تاریخ ۲۱ آذر ۱۳۸۹ از سوی سپاه بازداشت و به مدت ۳۶ روز در انفرادی بند ۲ الف سپاه تحت بازجویی قرار گرفت. او در حال حاضر عضو تحریریه سیاسی روزنامه شرق است.

 

طباطبایی بیش از این در مجله ایران فردا، خبرگزاری سینا، روزنامه های فرهیختگان، کلمه سبز، بهار سابقه فعالیت داشته است.

این حکم در تاریخ ۹ فروردین ما ۹۱ و در ایام تعطیلات نوروزی به طباطبایی ابلاغ شده است
