Tuesday November 23rd, 2010 – Following an initial statement by a number of student activists in Iran calling for nationwide student protests to commemorate 16 Azar, December 7th, Students Day, a second statement has now been issued, providing further details for the proposed 3 day, university wide strikes. In their first statement, the students had proposed university wide protests on December 6th, 7th and 8th (15, 16 & 17th Azar). According to reports by Jaras, the content of the 2nd statement by student activists regarding the commemoration of Students Day is as follows:
Given that our first statement calling for university wide protests in Tehran and the provinces was received so favorably by online websites, social and student networks, we a number of student activists in Tehran propose the following nationwide activities to commemorate Students Day:
1. On December 6th (15th of Azar) we ask all students to be present at the university but boycott all classes and instead gather in front of their particular faculties. We ask students to begin planning for this day by preparing signs and photos that commemorate the Student Movement and Students Day, to be carried on campus on this day. For those universities that contain a number of faculties that are located next to each other we ask that students at the various faculties join their protests to ensure that their voices resonate across the campus. We also ask that statements and notifications be published and distributed to students of public universities across the country asking them to join in the nationwide university protests. It goes without saying that students must remain vigilant and aware and prevent events and civic activities that may lead to the arbitrary presence of security forces intent on disrupting Students Day commemorations. Ensuring that the activities for December 6th (15 Azar) are implemented with complete confidence and courage will attract a larger number of students, facilitating more coherent and coordinated efforts for following two days.
2. On December 7th, 16 Azar, Students Day, it is vital that students ensure that their voices are heard even more loudly and clearly. We therefore once again ask that students boycott all classes on this day and instead gather on campus and announce their demands in the form of publications. Our beloved Iran is experiencing difficult and painful times. It is our human and national duty as students and members of the educated segment of our society to feel a sense of responsibility towards ourselves and the fate of our country and ensure that our beloved Iran traverses these difficult times. We are all fully aware of the fate of so many innocent freedom fighters who are incarcerated in the notorious prisons of the Islamic Republic. We have all felt the pain of the death of our classmates at the hands of government agents. We still remember our classmates and friends behind bars and hear daily of the pressures and torture they endure in prison. We all feel the effects of the ineffective economic policies of this government that have led to the the financial downfall of our country and touched our daily lives. We have all been witness to the enthusiasm and hope of our people and seen how the force of the gun by the authoritarians has spread despair, frustration and depression amongst our nation. We all still honor the memory of the Sohrabs, Nedas, and the Kamangars. We are all aware that our nation’s hope lies upon us students the educated segment of our society. We are fully aware that the Islamic Republic will not hesitate in its quest to arrest, kill and execute; much like vampires whose enjoyment of the taste of blood increases with the passing of each day.
Regardless of the circumstances we face, it is our national and human duty to declare our hatred towards this deplorable situation. The 16th of Azar, a day commemorating the death of 3 martyrs of freedom and justice is a great opportunity for the Student Movement to form a cohesive movement in protest of their opponents. On this day, students should demand the unconditional release of all political prisoners and call for trials against the perpetrators of these crimes against humanity. Students should emphasize the importance of independence and freedom within universities and call for the return of the compassionate and qualified professors who have either been arrested or expelled from university. On this day, we must also remember our Green martyrs, demonstrating that their memory is alive and that the Green People’s Movement is not only vibrant but also continues on its path towards freedom and democracy. On this 16 Azar, December 7th, we ask students to therefore carry Green symbols and images and to engage in silence, peaceful demonstrations on campus.
3. On December 7th (17 Azar) we ask that students attend university, but once again boycott all classes and gather on campus to insist upon their positions, engaging in silent and peaceful demonstrations. On Students Day, 16 Azar, we should not forget our childhood school friends who are behind the prison bars of this illegitimate regime. On this day, we must demand the immediate release of our incarcerated schoolmates and their return to university. Our beloved classmates, we are hopeful that with your support, for the first time in the history of the Student Movement our presence will be felt in a different way.
In conclusion was ask all those who have read this statement to help us disseminate this information. We ask individuals who are active online and members of social networks to widely post and distribute this statement online. As a result of the prevailing police atmosphere in Iran and within our communities, each individual must act as a leader and engage in the effective dissemination of information.

It is worth mentioning that with the arrival of 16 Azar, Students Day, a group of Green students residing abroad also published a statement calling upon all Iranian students to join in world wide ceremonies commemorating the Student Movement in Iran.
بیانیه شماره ٢ فعالان دانشجویی برای اعتصابات سراسری در دانشگاهها به مناسبت روز دانشجو
جرس: در پی انتشار فراخوان جمعی از فعالان دانشجویی برای اعتصابات سراسری دانشگاهها به مناسبت ۱۶ آذر و روز دانشجو و استقبال دانشجویان دانشگاههای مختلف سراسر کشور از این موضوع، بیانیه شماره ٢ این فعالان دانشجویی با ارائه پیشنهاداتی جهت اعتصاب و اعتراضات هماهنگ و منسجم، منتشر شد.
این فعالان دانشجویی در بیاینه شماره یک خود، که ابتدای هفته جاری آن را منتشر کرده بودند، دانشجویان را به اعتصاب سراسری در تاریخ های ۱۵ و ۱۶ و ۱٧ آذر امسال فراخواندند.
به گزارش منابع خبری جرس، متن بیانیه شماره ٢ فعالان دانشجویی برای ایجاد هماهنگی و ارائه پیشنهاداتی جهت اعتصابات دانشجویی به شرح زیر است:
از آنجایی كه اولین بیانیه این گروه در آستانه فرارسیدن ماه آذر و ماه دانشجو و فراخوان برای اعتصابات سراسری دانشجویی در سراسر دانشگاه های تهران و شهرستان ؛با استقبال زیادی در سایت های خبری و اجتماعی و در محافل دانشجویی روبه رو شد؛ ما جمعی از دانشجویان دانشگاه های تهران در راستای تحقق هر چه بهتر این اعتصاب و منسجم بودن و هماهنگ بودن آن در پوشش یك اعتصاب واقعی سراسری دانشجویی برنامه های خود را پیشنهاد می دهیم :
۱- در روز ۱۵ آذر ماه همه دانشجویان بایدبا حضور در دانشگاه از رفتن به كلاس درس خود داری كرده و در مقابل دا نشكده های مربوطه تجمع نمایند. دانشجویان در این روز می توانند با در دست داشتن پلاكارد یا عكسهایی با مضمون دانشجو و ۱۶ آذر برای فردای آن روز كه ۱۶ آذر ماه می باشد برنامه ریزی كنند.ما از همه دانشجویان می خواهیم تا رفتن به كلاس درس را در این روز و روز های بعد تعطیل كنند.در دانشگاه هایی كه چند دانشكده نزدیك به هم دارند دانشجویان می توانند با به هم پیوستن به هم فریاد اعتراضات خود را در صحن دانشگاه طنین انداز كنند.همچنین با دادن پیام هایی در قالب بیانیه و اطلاعیه از دانشجویان سایر دانشگاه های كشور از دولتی و ازاد گرفته تا پیام نور و هر دانشگاه دیگری بخواهند كه به جمع اعتصابیون بپیونندند. برای جلوگیری از اتفاقات به دور از شان فعالیت مدنی كه ممكن است مثل هر زمان دیگری نیروهای خودسر به راه بیندازند دانشجویان باید هوشیار و آگاه باشند.
عزیزان دانشجو نیاز به گفتن نیست كه اگر در این روز بتوانیم به این شیوه و با اعتماد و شجاعت كامل عمل نمائیم قطعا نه تنها برای روزهای بعد منسجم تر و هماهنگ تر شده ایم بلكه با برد خبری آن می توانیم دانشجویان بیشتری را با خود همراه كنیم.
٢- در روز ۱۶ آذر ماه همه دانشجویان با برگذاری مراسم بزرگداشت روز دانشجو محكم تر از دیروز باید فریاد حق طلبی و آزادی خواهی خود را سر دهند. در این روز نیز دانشجویان باید از رفتن به كلاس درس خودداری كرده و در صحن علنی هر دانشگاه تجمع كرده وخواسته های خود را در قالب بیانیه اعلام بدارند. از آنجایی كه جای جای ایران عزیز امروز روزهای سخت و دردناكی را به خود می بیند این وظیفه ملی و انسانی ما دانشجویان به عنوان قشر تحصیل كرده می باشد كه در قبال سرنوشت كشورمان و ملت مان و خودمان احساس مسئولیت كنیم و انزجار خود را از وضع آشفته كشورمان نشان دهیم. همه ما می دانیم كه چه انسان های آزاده و بی گناهی كه امروز در زندان های حکومت نامشروع جمهوری اسلامی گرفتار آمده اند؛ همه ما از كشته شدن دوستان و همكلاسی هایمان به دست عوامل حکومت باخبریم؛ همه ما دوستان و همكلاسی های دربند مان را هنوز می شناسیم و هر روز می شنویم از فشار ها وشكنجه هایی كه بر آنها روا داشته می شود؛ همه ما اوضاع بد و دردناك اقتصاد ملی را به خاطر سیاست های سو و كینه توزانه رژیم با تمام وجود لمس می كنیم؛ همه ما شور واشتیاق و امید مردم را دیدیم و دیدیم كه خودكامه گان چطور یاس و نا امیدی و افسردگی را به چهره ملت ما پاشیدند؛ همه ما هنوز یاد سهراب ها و ندا ها و كمانگر ها را در خاطرمان گرامی می داریم؛ همه ما می دانیم كه چشم امید ملت دردمندمان به ما به عنوان جوانان تحصیل كرده و دانشگاهی دوخته شده و می دانیم كه جمهوری اسلامی از به بند و زنجیر كردن و كشتن و اعدام ابایی ندارد و مثل خون آشامی است كه هر روز از خوردن خون ملت بیشتر لذت می برد.
با همه اینها این وظیفه ملی و انسانی ماست كه در حد توان خود انزچار و تنفر خود را نسبت به این اوضاع اسفناك اعلام داریم. روز ۱۶ آذر كه روز گرامیداشت سه دانشجوی شهید و كشته شده راه آزادی و عدالت هست فرصت بسیار مناسبی است تا جنبش دانشجویی برای اولین بار متفاوت از همیشه و در قالب یك جنبش سراسری و منسجم این دین خود را جامه عمل بپوشاند. در این روز دانشجویان باید خواستار بی قید و شرط همه زندانیان سیاسی و عقیدتی شده و محاكمه عاملین این جنایت ضد بشری را خواستار شوند. دانشجویان باید بر مسأله استقلال و آزادی دانشگاه تاكید كرده و خواستار بازگشت اساتید دلسوز و گرانقدر بازداشت شده و اخراج شده به جمع دانشگاه شوند. در این روز همچنین باید یاد شهدای سبز گرامی داشته شود تا نشان بدهیم كه یاد آنها هنوز زنده است و جنبش مردمی سبز زنده تر. دانشجویان بعد از برگذاری مراسم بزرگداشت ۱۶ آذر در حالی كه عكس ها و نماد های روز دانشجو و جنبش سبز را به همراه دارند در صحن دانشگاه دست به راهپیمایی های آرام بزنند.
٣- در روز ۱٧ نیز دانشجویان باید با حضور در دانشگاه ها از رفتن به كلاس درس خودداری نمایند و یك بار دیگر با جمع شدن در مقابل دانشكده ها بر مواضع خود پافشاری كنند. بعد از آن با تشكیل اجتماعات بزرگ تر اقدام به راهپیمایی آرام در دانشگاه نمایند. دانشجویان باید بدانند كه ۱۶ آذر روز دانشجوست و خیلی از یاران دبستانی و همكلاسی های ما امروز در زندانهای پوشالی رژیم نامشروع گرفتار آمده اند. ما باید در این روز خواستار آزادی هر چه سریع تر همكلاسی هایمان و بازگشت سرفرازانه آنها به جمع دانشگاه باشیم عزیزان امید است كه با یاری شما در این سه روز برای اولین بار در تارخ جنبش دانشجویی ایران متفاوت ظاهر شویم. در پایان از همه از همه دوستانی كه این بیانیه را می خوانند می خواهیم در گسترش آن ما را یاری دهند. از كسانی كه در سایت ها و شبكه های اجتماعی اینترنتی فعالیت می كنند می خواهیم تا این بیانیه را به صورت گسترده منعكس نمایند. الان به خاطر جو امنیتی و پلیسی حاكم بر جامعه هر كدام از ما خود یك لیدر برای این اقدام مبارك و عظیم محسوب می شویم. هر فرد باید این خبر را به نوبه خود چه در سطح دانشگاه ها و چه در سطح خوابگاه های دانشجویی و یا سایت های خبری و یا حتی رسانه های شنیداری و دیداری منعكس نماید.

گفتنی است گروهی از دانشجویان و همچنین فعالان دانشجویی جنبش سبز مقیم خارج از کشور نیز، در آستانه فرا رسیدن ١۶ آذر و روز دانشجو، طی فراخوانی از دانشجویان ایرانی سراسر جهان خواستار گرامیداشت این روز و سازماندهی مشترک برای برگزاری مراسم همزمان شده بودند
