Calling On The Nation Of Iran To Support the 12 Prisoners of Conscience on Hunger Stike with Rooftop Roars of God is Great

June 21st, 2011 – Kaleme: In a statement published today and addressed to the 12 prisoners of conscience on their fourth day of hunger strike at Evin prison, the Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope called upon the 12 prisoners of conscience to end their hunger strike, stating: “In support of your heroic act honoring the memory of Hale Sahabi and Hoda saber, this Wednesday June 22nd, 2011, from 10:00 – 11:00pm the nation of Iran will roar cries of God is Great [Allah Akbar] from every rooftop, demonstrating their solidarity with you and the martyrs of freedom.

The complete statement by the Coordination Council for the Green Path of Hope is as follows:

We greet you the beloved pride of the nation of Iran, 

Although your protests have fallen on the death ears of the totalitarians, the honorable and aware nation of Iran have nevertheless heard your cries of protest demanding your stolen rights. You, much like Haleh and Hoda are the hope and future of our nation; noble men of principle who have given up the comforts in life, standing strong and tall, fighting for the rights of an entire nation. The ruling government has once again demonstrated that in order to remain in power they are willing to disregard the honor of a nation and will stop at nothing, even ignoring the sanctity of an individual’s life.

To the 12 honorable prisoners of conscience on hunger strike we say: “The honorable and grateful nation of Iran have heard you and requests that you end your hunger strike. In support of your heroic act honoring the memory of Hale Sahabi and Hoda saber, this Wednesday June 22nd, 2011, from 10:00 – 11:00pm the nation of Iran will roar cries of God is Great [Allah Akbar] from every rooftop, demonstrating their solidarity with you and the martyrs of freedom.”

عزیزان گرانمایه!

اگر خودکامگان صدای اعتراضتان را نشنیدند، مردم شریف و آگاهی که شما به پاس پاسداشت از حقوقشان در بند شده اید، شنیدند. شما سرمایه ها و امیدهای مردم ما هستید، همانطور که هاله و هدی بودند. انسان های شریفی که از آسودگی زندگی ذلت بار چشم پوشیدید و با قامتی استوار در راه احقاق حقوق حقة ملت ایستاده اید. حاکمیت نشان داده که در راه حفظ قدرت خویش حرمت هیچ حریمی را نگه نمی دارد و جان انسان ها را بی مقدار می شمرد.
