The line has been clearly drawn in the sand – Hassan Khomeini, considered by regime on the side of the Green movement….

Sardar Naghdi, head of the Basiji forces & the Supreme Leader behind the disturbances during Hassan Khomeini’s speech at the Friday Prayers, this Khordad 14th (June 4th)

English Summary – It has been reported that the disturbances during Hassan Khomeini’s speech, caused by Basiji forces who had been transferred by the bus loads from the provinces into Tehran for the Friday prayers on the 14th of Khordad (June 4th) commemorating the 21st anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini’s passing, were premeditated and well organized.

Many of the Basiji agents, who had been transferred by bus loads from the provinces to attend the Friday prayers in Tehran this past 14th of Khordad and were rewarded monetarily for their presence, on the way back boasted about the fact that the disturbances during Seyed Hassan Khomeini’s (grandson of Ayatollah Khomeini) speech were planned in great detail by Sardar Naghdi, the head of the Basiji forces. According to these same reports, many of the slogans were predefined and sent to the heads of Basiji units prior to the event with instructions on what needs to be done during the ceremony.

It is interesting to note that Khamenei, in his long speech that followed that given by Hassan Khomeini, did not make the slightest reference to the disturbances and disrespect shown towards the Khomeini family. Given that Khamenei is responsible for and oversees all the details associated with the Imam Khomeini’s office, there are whispers in the inner circles of leadership in the holy city of Qom that this incident took place with the blessing and approval of the supreme leader, Khamenei who has said “Islam does not joke around with anyone; anyone who does not support the supreme leader and even provides indirect support to the Green movement, must suffer the consequences….”

If nothing else, the Friday prayer this past Khordad 14th, demonstrated that the opposition is alive and that a line has been drawn in the sand. As far as the regime is concerned, Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late Ayatollah Khomeini is now clearly considered on the side of the Green Movement.
