Preliminary List of Citizens Arrested During the Civil Protests to Save Lake Orumiyeh

September 4th, 2011 – [Jaras] In the past few days tens of civil and political activists across a number of cities in Azarbaijan have been arrested as a result of their civil protest in support of saving a drying national treasure, lake Orumiyeh.

According to reports by Human Rights Activist News Agency (HARANA) the following activists from Maragheh county were arrested on Wednesday August 31st, 2011 by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence in Maragheh:

-Siyamak Karimi

-Behzad Aghdasi

-Mostafa Ghalizadeh

-Morteza Foroughi

-Farhad Saali

-Vali Hossein Nejad

In addition, Majid and Tohid Javadi were arrested at their father’s house on the night of September 1st, 2011 and reportedly transferred to the 5th branch of the Revolutionary Court in Orumiyeh presided over by Judge Hosseini Azar today.

Other detainees include:

-Erahim Nouri  (from Ahar County in Eastern Ajarbaijan)

-Hamid Manafi Nazarlou (Orumiyeh)

-Aziz Yekanlou (Orumiyeh)

-Javid Nouri (Orumiyeh)

- Rahman Nouri (Orumiyeh)

-Mohammad Haghi (Orumiyeh)

-Naser Abedini (Orumiyeh)

-Mehdi Bargoshadi (Orumiyeh)

-Hassan Azimi (Orumiyeh)

-Naser Haghi (Orumiyeh)

-Kiyan  Peyghami (Tabriz)

According to HRANA, Abbas Lasani one of the leaders of the 2006 Azarbaijan protests has been summoned by phone to the Office of Investigations at the Intelligence Ministry, but has not turned himself in to date.

The Committee of Human Rights Reporters (CHRR)  has also reported that Faranak Farid a womens rights activist was also arrested during the protests in Orumiyeh.

To date, the exact number of citizens arrested in yesterday’s civil protests in support of Lake Orumiyeh has not been announced and much like the aftermath of last week’s protests, judicial and security officials continue to remain silent. This while after last week’s protests, those arrested were reportedly released in two groups of 70 and 120 individuals from the central prison in Orumiyeh by the Intelligence Ministry and Security Forces.

اسامی بازداشت شدگان تجمع اعتراضی به روند خشک شدن دریاچه ارومیه

جرس:  طی روزهای اخیر ده‌ها تن از فعالان سیاسی و مدنی در شهرهای مختلف آذربایجان در اعتراض به روند خشک شدن دریاچه ارومیه بازداشت شدند.

به گزارش هرانا، ارگان خبری مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ایران، سیامک کریمی، بهزاد اقدسی، مصطفی قلیزاده، مرتضی فروغی، فرهاد ساعلی و ولی حسین‌نژاد از فعالین شهرستان مراغه روز چهارشنبه ۹ شهریور توسط ماموران اداره اطلاعات مراغه بازداشت شدند.

مجید و توحید جوادی در شب یازدهم شهریور در منزل پدریشان بازداشت و صبح امروز به بازپرسی شعبه پنجم دادگاه‌های عمومی و انقلاب شهرستان ارومیه که ریاست آن را قاضی حسینی آذر بر عهده دارد، منتقل شدند.

ابراهیم نوری از شهرستان اهر، حمید منافی نظرلو، عزیز یکانلو، جاوید نوری، رحمان نوری، محمد حقی، ناصر عابدینی، مهدی برگشادی، حسن عظیمی، ناصر حقی در ارومیه و کیان پیغامی در تبریز از جمله بازداشت شدگان هستند.

بر اساس  این گزارش عباس لسانی از رهبران معترضان در سال ۸۵ نیز به اداره پیگیری وزارت اطلاعات به صورت تلفنی احضار شده است که وی از مراجعه به آنجا تاکنون سرباز زده است.

هم چنین کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر نیز در گزارشی اعلام کرد فرانک فرید از فعالان حقوق زنان در تجمعات ارومیه بازداشت شده است.

تا کنون آمار دقیقی از بازداشت شدگان تجمعات روز گذشته اعلام نشده است و مسئولین قضایی و امنیتی نیز به مانند تظاهرات هفته گذشته سکوت کرده‌اند، این در حالی است که در تظاهرات هفته گذشته بازداشت شدگان در دو دسته ۷۰ و ۱۲۰ نفره از بازداشتگاه‌های اداره اطلاعات، نیروی انتظامی و زندان مرکزی ارومیه آزاد شدند.

Full scale civil war in Orumiyeh – security forces fire directly at the protesters.

Hundreds arrested….

At Least 13 protesters injured and taken to Matrahi Hospital in Orumiyeh and reports of 4 protesters in critical condition. Information on other hospitals currently not available.

Eye witnesses describe the level of violence by security agents as beyond words.  Reports of a much larger showing by protesters in relation to previous weeks.

Currently Basiji forces, consisting mainly of young boys of no more than 25 years of age, carrying PVC pipes are present at Artesh, Amniyati, Bakeri, Khayam, University and other streets.

Tens of protesters were transferred today to one of the buildings belonging to Basiji forces at Mokhaberat square at the entrance of Bargh street; a building that until 4 years ago was one of the safe houses for the Ministry of Intelligence in Orumiyeh.

Moments ago, plain clothes agents were seen at Matrahi hospital, transferring protesters who were not in critical condition to an undisclosed location.   One of the nurses at Matrahi stated that the injured may very well have been transferred to Arefian Hospital under the supervision of the IRGC.

The IRGC is responsible for the protection of the State building and Seda va Sima (Iran’s National Broadcasting Corporation IRIB) in Western Azarbaijan. About an hour ago at least 10, black Toyota Land Cruisers were seen surrounding the state building and the IRIB.

The presence of such military vehicles is reminiscent of protests that took place in the province of Naghdeh in 2006 when citizens protested against a caricature that was published in Iran newspaper.  At the time, 13 citizens were martyred as a result of direct gun shots by security agents.

Moments ago, security forces were seen arresting a number of young citizens at internet cafes, seeking to publish and disseminate photos and news regarding the clashes and protests in Orumiyeh today.

A source at one of the hospitals reports on 2 fatalities at Matrahi hospital in Orumiyeh. Although not yet confirmed, there are reports of at least 5 fatalities during today’s violent protests in Orumiyeh.

آخرین خبرها از درگیریهای خشونت بار ارومیه

 

جنگ تمام عیار شهری در ارومیه و تیراندازی مستقیم ماموران به مردم

 

بازداشت صدها نفر

 

حداقل سیزده مجروح با گلوله در بیمارستان مطهری ارومیه که حال چهار نفرشان وخیم است، آماری از دیگر بیمارستانها در دست نیست

 

شاهدان عینی میزان خشونت به کار رفته توسط مامورین را غیرقابل توصیف و حضور مردم را بیش از تظاهرات هفته پیش اعلام کردند

 

هم اکنون نیروهای بسیج که عمدتا نوجوان و جوانان حداکثر تا 25 سال سن هستند با لوله های پلیکا در دست در خیابانهای ارتش ، امینی ، باکری، خیام ، دانشکده و خیابانهای دیگر شهر مستقر هستند

 

ده ها نفر از بازداشت شدگان تظاهرات خشونت بار امروز به یکی از ساختمانهای وابسته به بسیج در فلکه مخابرات ابتدای خیابان برق که تا چهارسال پیش یکی از خانه های امن اداره اطلاعات ارومیه بود منتقل شده اند

 

دقایقی پیش ماموران لباس شخصی با حضور در بیمارستان مجروحانی که حالشان وخیم نبود را به مکانی نامعلوم منتقل کردند . یکی از پرستاران بیمارستان مطهری از انتقال احتمالی این مجروحان به بیمارستان عارفیان که متعلق به سپاه است خبر داد

 

سپاه پاسداران مسئولیت حفاظت از ساختمان استانداری و صدای و سیمای آذربایجان غربی را در دست دارد و یکساعت پیش حداقل ده دستگاه تویوتا لندکروزهای سیاه رنگ سپاه که بر پشت آنها سلاح دوشکا قرار دارد در محوطه استانداری و صدا و سیما مستقر شده اند

 

سابقه حضور خودروهای سپاه مجهز به دوشکا به سال 85 در شهرستان نقده در جریان تظاهرات اعتراضی مردم به کاریکاتور روزنامه ایران بازمیگردد که متاسفانه در اثر شلیک گلوله مستقیم به مردم در آن سال توسط این خودروها 13 نفر از اهالی نقده به شهادت رسیدند

 

دقایقی پیش ماموران امنیتی با حضور در چند کافی نت در شهر ارومیه اقدام به بازداشت هفت نفر از جوانان کردند که احتمال میدادند در حال ارسال عکس و فیلمهایی از تظاهرات امروز ارومیه هستند

 

یکی از منابع بیمارستانی از کشته شدن دو نفر از مجروحان که در بیمارستان مطهری ارومیه بودند خبر داد . خبرهای تایید نشده از کشته شدن بیش از 5 نفر در تظاهرات خشونت بار امروز ارومیه خبر میدهند

BREAKING NEWS – Eye Witness Report | Clashes in Tabriz Continue….

September 3rd, 2011 -  [For security reasons, the identity of this eyewitness will not be disclosed] -  Today at around 5:30pm we were at Abrestan and University Square. There was a heavy presence of security forces and security agents were deployed every 50 meters.  We also saw a number of vans parked underneath Satarkhan bridge.  The streets were much busier than usual, but the people refrained from chanting any slogans.  On the roof of one of the Basiji bases near Hotel Tabriz, plain clothes agents were watching people and the motor cycle riding agents were out in large numbers on the streets trying to create fear amongst the people.

As previously agreed upon, we went to the Bazaar. We arrived at Tabriz Bazaar at around 6:30pm.  The atmosphere had changed completely.  People had started chanting slogans in groups of approximately a few hundred each.  The Bazaar was filled with security agents, plain clothes agents and motor cycle riding agents.  We witnessed clashes in Rasteh street, Tarbiyat, Baghe Kolestan, and Shariati square (Shahnaz).

On Tarbiat street a number of protesters were beaten and injured.  Many protesters were blocked in the shopping center on Tarbiat Street.  It didn’t stop people, however,  from sporadically chanting slogans.  They even set a number of Basiji motorcycles on fire.  We also saw a number of motorcycles on fire at Shahnaz square.

Clashes continued until around 8:00pm.  We were also told that clashes continue at Abrestan square.

خیابون حرکت میکردن

 

ولی طبق قرار قبلی به بازار رفتیم، ساعت شش و نیم تو بازار تبریز بودیم،

اوضاع خیلی فرق میکرد ملت شروع به شعار دادن میکردن تو دسته های تقریبا

چند صد نفری، مامور گارد و لباس شخصی و موتور سوار هم بود

تو راسته کوچه، خیابان تربیت و باغ کلستان و چهار راه شریعتی(شهناز) درگیری بود،

 

چند نفرو تو تربیت زدن زخمی کردن مردمو تو پاساژ مولانای تربیت حبس کردن

ولی ملت پراکنده شعار میدادن و تونستن چند تا موتور بسیجی ها رو آتیش

بزنن

تو چهارراه شهناز هم چند موتورو آتیش زده بودن

 

دیگه همین دگیری ها تا ساعت هشت ادامه داشت

Invitation by the 25 Bahman Group to Participate in Peaceful, Civil Protests on Sept 3rd, 2011 to Save Lake Orumiyeh

August 30th 2011 -  The peaceful, civil protests to save lake Orumiyeh from an environmental disaster were violently suppressed by security forces on Saturday August 27th, 2011.  This violence against peaceful citizens is further proof that the ruling government of Iran cares neither about the form of protest nor the reasons behind it, but rather will do everything in their power to ensure that the nation of Iran remains obedient and submissive. It no longer matters to this regime whether people demonstrate in Tehran or Orumiyeh, whether the demonstrations are in pursuit of their civil rights, or in order to protect the environment or as a means to speak out against the utter neglect [of the ruling government] vis-a-vis a historic landmark such as lake Orumiyeh.  Vahedi’s response is very apropos when he says: “Given the recent demise of other dictatorial regimes in the Middle East, this type of behavior only further confirms the fear that is gripping the ruling government of Iran.”

It was the tireless efforts of various environmental groups and the dynamics within social networks that led to a collaborative effort to save a dying national treasure, a lake that has come to symbolize the dreams, sufferings and aspirations of an entire nation. “The Little Black Fish” [Mahi Siyahe Kochooloo]  a classic short story by Azeri author Samad Behrangi ends with the following sentence: “Despite all his efforts, the little, red fish could not fall asleep, for all night long until the break of dawn his thoughts were with the ocean….”  Much like Behrangi’s master piece, imprinted in the memories of an entire Iranian nation, Orumiyeh Lake has now become the symbol of unity between the citizens of Iran regardless of their local dialect and ethnicity, reminding us all that there is a world out there much larger than the confines of the cage in which we find ourselves today – a dream that also led Bagher Khan (whose honorary title was “National Hero”) and Sattar Khan [both figures in the Iranian Constitutional Revolution and considered one of the greatest heroes of Iran] to leave Tabriz for the capital Tehran so many years ago.

To this end, after receiving hundreds of emails and contacting a variety of Green activist groups and supporters of the Coordination Council of the Green Path of Hope, the 25 Bahman group, while expressing its support for the civil protests designed to bring attention to the situation at lake Orumiyeh, announces Saturday, September 3rd, 2011 as a day of support for the rights of all ethnic minorities and a National Day of Solidarity with our compatriots in Orumiyeh in their civil protest against this environmental disaster.

دعوت گروه بیست و پنجم بهمن برای اعتراض به وضعیت دریاچه ارومیه

روز شنبه پنجم شهریور ماه، اعتراضات مدنی و صلح آمیز به وضعیت اسفناک دریاچه اورمیه با واکنش ماموران حکومت کودتا به خشونت کشیده شد. این رفتار نیروهای امنیتی بیش از پیش این نکته را به ذهن متبادر می‌سازد که برای حکومت شکل یا دلیل اعتراض اهمیتی ندارد بلکه آنها در هر حالتی ملت را سربه زیر و فرمانبدار می‌خواهند.مردم در تهران تجمع کنند یا ارومیه، برای پیگیری حقوق مدنی باشد یا اعتراض به وضعیت زیست محیطی یک دریاچه تفاوتی ندارد، پاسخ سردامداران پاسخ واحدی است:خشونت.  این رفتار بیش از هر مساله دیگری مهر تاییدی است بر ترسی که پس از سرنگونی نظامهای دیکتاتوری خاورمیانه گریبان صاحبان کنونی قدرت را گرفته است.

 

در مقابل این رفتار، در هفته گذشته تلاش خیرخواهانه گروههای حافظ محیط زیست و پویایی شبکه‌های اجتماعی بود که گروههای اجتماعی را به هم پیوند زد تا دریاچه ای که نفس‌های آخر خود را می‌کشد به نقطه اتصال نمادین آرزو، رنج و آمال ملتی بدل شود. “ماهی سیاه کوچولو” اثر ماندگار صمد بهرنگی با این جمله به اتمام می‌رسد ” ماهی سرخ کوچولو هر چه کرد، خوابش نبرد، شب تا صبح همه اش در فکر دریا بود…” مانند اثر بهرنگی که به خاطره نسلی تمامی‌ایرانیان گره خورده است این بار نیز دریاچه ارومیه به نقطه اتحاد همه با هر زبان و قومیتی تبدیل شد تا باز یادمان آورد که جهانی فراختر از قفس که در آن زندگی می‌کنیم هم وجود دارد. آرزویی که روزگاری سردار و سالار ملی را از تبریز راهی پایتخت ساخت.

 

در این راستا و پس از دریافت صدها ایمیل، تماس با گروههای فعال سبز و پیرو حمایت شورای هماهنگی راه سبز امید، گروه بیست و پنجم بهمن وظیفه خود می‌داند که ضمن اعلام حمایت از اعتراض‌های مدنی برای پیگیری وضعیت دریاچه ارومیه، روز شنبه، دوازدهم شهریور ماه را روز همبستگی ملی برای اعتراض به وضعیت دریاچه ارومیه و پیگیری حقوق قومیت‌ها اعلام نماید.
