Narges Mousavi “I am more determined than ever to pursue the violated legal rights of my parents”

February 11th, 2013 [Kaleme Zahra Sadr] – Opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s daughter Narges Mousavi describes the events that led to the raid of her home by security agents and her subsequent arrest, interrogation and eventual release after a few hours as follows: “This morning my 4 year old son and I were going to work when four or five big built men and a women suddenly showed up in front of my car and forced me back into the house so they could search the premises.”

Narges Mousavi describes the manner in which she was arrested as unexpectedly violent with the security agents threatening even to kill her adding: “I asked them to present a court order which they did. I believe it was from the prosecutor’s office. I had seen one of the male security agents before in front of Akhtar street. He lifted his had to strike me in the face. He paid no attention to [Islamic] codes of conduct that require that he avoid physical contact with me given that he is a man. In fact the men held my hands and took me with them. They completely ransacked my home, refusing to spare even my son’s room.”

Narges Mousavi emphasized that she will try to publish pictures of the condition of the rooms and the house after the raid by the security agents stating: “My son was extremely shaken and terrified by the ongoing arguments and tension. I don’t have anyone any more. My parents are in prison. Imagine a woman alone with her four year old son and eight other men and a woman. Following a verbal altercation one of the security officers told me that if it was up to him, he would push me out of the window of the building right there. All of this happened in front of my four year old son so I yelled back and told him that he had no right to do such a thing. They took all my electronic devices with them. They also confiscated a number of my personal notes, my MP4, my laptop, iPad and cell phone.”

While reiterating the insulting manner in which she and her son were treated during the interrogation process Narges Mousavi continued: “He not only threatened to beat me and lifted his hand to strike my face, but also threatened to kill me. There were pictures of us without our customary Islamic dress code in the house and when I protested and demanded that he refrain from looking at pictures of my sisters and I without hijab, they only ignored my request and ridiculed me. They took me to the prosecutor’s office at Evin prison and kept me waiting for two hours. They then wrote a series of questions down and demanded answers. They delayed the process on purpose and kept us there until four in the afternoon without offering us any food or water.”

The youngest daughter of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard added: “They kept asking: :How do you contact the Kaleme website?” It was clear that this issue bothered them and was a sensitive subject. I stated that my contact with Kaleme was through email or at times by phone. I reiterated that Kaleme and the news they publish is completely acceptable to us. They asked me: “Why do you insist that your parents’ detention is illegal when it is absolutely not illegal and the concerned parties have confirmed this fact?” I wrote in response that when none of the entities within the ruling establishment have responded to our inquiries and every international organization and our civil society have expressed criticism over the current situation while the ruling establishment remains silent, that means that what has occurred is illegal. The current situation is illegal in my eyes, in the eyes of the people, in the eyes of God and the world at large!”

Mousavi’s daughter concluded: “In the end we were calmly escorted back home. The interrogation process at the house and the prosecutor’s office was nevertheless very stressful. While at the prosecutor’s office an argument ensued between myself and one of the security agents and he pushed me out of the room and took me to another room, forcing me to sit on a chair. His behavior was humiliating and filled with malice, though he later apologized. What upset me the most was that we were taken to a place where addicts are also detained. I was placed next to a man that had been been detained that morning for possessing two kilos of Crystal Meth. As the daughter of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard I am more determined that ever to pursue the violated legal rights of my parents.”

BREAKING NEWS – Opposition Leader Mehdi Karroubi’s Eldest Son Arrested

February 11th, 2013 – Saham News reports that the home of opposition leader Mehdi Karroubi’s eldest son Mohammad Hossein Karroubi was raided by security agents at 8 am this morning. The opposition leader’s son was arrested and taken to the prosecutor’s office at Evin prison for further interrogation.

It has been reported that a representative from the office of Tehran’s Prosecutor was present along with 7 other security agents who searched the home, confiscating the personal belongings of Mohammad Hossein Karroubi including his laptop, cell phone and documents including his identity card and bank cards belonging to the Hossein Karroubi’s family. Personal computers belonging to two of Mehdi Karroubi’s grandchildren were also confiscated.

In a similarly coordinated move, opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s two youngest daughters, Narges and Zahra were also arrested this morning and released after several hours of questioning.

The arrests and interrogations were reportedly as a result of the joint statement published by the children of the opposition leaders on January 8th, 2013 demanding that their parents be released.

BREAKING NEWS – Opposition Leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s Daughters Arrested and Released After A Few Hours of Interrogation

February 11th, 2013 – Kaleme reports that opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s two younger daughters Narges and Zahra were arrested at their homes early this morning and released after a few hours of interrogation.

Mousavi’s oldest daughter Kokab made the following statements to Kaleme regarding the events of this morning: “They provided no reason for their arrest, but in our opinion they seek to divert attention from the recent scandals plaguing the ruling establishment. My sisters were arrested because they wish to cover up the recent disputes and power struggles such as the latest debacle in the parliament and the disgraceful events that took place at Hazrate Masoumeh’s shrine.”

Kokab Mousavi added: “Narges called and informed me that the agents were at her home. She asked me to go there to watch over her young child. They told her that the arrest would be for a few hours only and that she would have to respond to a few questions. As for Zahra, her husband was there when they arrived and arrested her.”

In closing Mousavi’s oldest daughter stated: ” On the eve of February 14th and as we enter into the third year of their house arrest the further intensification of illegal moves by the ruling establishment was predictable.”

Kaleme reports that the opposition leaders daughters were released after a few hours of interrogation. Further details regarding the arrest will be published shortly and translated as soon as they become available.

Human Rights Lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh Returns to Evin Prison While Her Children Cry Refusing to Let Go of Their Mom

January 21st, 2013 – From the Facebook of incarcerated human rights Lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh’s husband Reza Khandan

“One can say that Nasrin was once again arrested” says Reza Khandan, the husband of incarcerated human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh who was finally granted a 3 day furlough after 2 years behind bars.

Khandan wrote the following status on his Facebook page approximately one hour ago:

Prior to granting her furlough, they had reiterated to Nasrin that this furlough would be rather long and in some ways permanent. Nasrin had made it clear that if that were not the case, she would not be willing to accept furlough from prison for only three days after two years of incarceration. Nasrin believed that a three day furlough would only lead to more distress for the children and cause them further psychological harm. Her logic and rationale were completely correct and her prediction turned out to be true.

Tonight at 11:00pm while the children were crying and refusing to let go of their mother, with our friends and supporters shocked that Nasrin had already been summoned back, Nasrin returned to Evin prison.

She emptied the suitcase she had prepared for our planned trip and instead refilled it with what she needed for prison and went back…!

می شود گفت که: نسرین بازداشت شد.
قبل از آمدن او به مرخصی با تاکید به او گفته بودند که این مرخصی طولانی و به نوعی دائمی خواهد بود. وگرنه نسرین اعلام کرده بود که حاضر نیست پس از 2 سال و نیم, به مدت 3 روز به مرخصی برود. مرخصی 3 روزه بیشتر موجب خواهد شد آرامش بچه ها از بین رفته و وضع روحی آنها به هم بریزد. استدلال او کاملا درست بود همین طور هم شد.

ساعت 11 امشب در حالی که بچه ها گریه میکردند و حاضر نبودند از مادرشان جدا شوند و از طرف دیگر همه ی دوستان و همراهان از این احضار شوکه بودند نسرین وارد زندان شد.
او چمدان مسافرت را که آماده کرده بود خالی و با وسایل زندان پر کرد و رفت … !!

Mir Hossein Mousavi’s Eldest Daughter: “We Will Not Remain Silent in the Face of Such Unjust Accusations Against Our Parents”

January 8th, 2013 [Kaleme - Zahra Sadr] – In an interview with Kaleme, the eldest daughter of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi reiterated that the family will continue to do everything in their power to report on Mousavi and Rahnavard’s condition, defending them against such unjust accusations.

The children of Mir Hossein Mousavi, Zahra Rahnavard and Mehdi Karroubi published a statement yesterday addressed to the Iranian nation, once again describing the injustices imposed upon their parents, demanding that the ruling establishment provide them with the opportunity to present the injustices imposed upon them, the lengthy charges against them, not to mention the undue arrest and violence bestowed upon them, their family members and their supporters, so they may take their case to the noble and courageous people of Iran.

According to reports by Kaleme, every time Mousavi’s daughters have made public statements regarding the condition of their parents, they have faced severe threats, leading to further restrictions on their lives, weeks without any news regarding their parents and threats to their lives and livelihood.

In recent weeks despite the passing of Zahra Rahnavard’s father, her daughters have been denied the opportunity to contact her, even to extend their condolences. Yesterday however, Mousavi and Rahnavard were taken for an hour to her late father’s residence under tight security measures and one of their daughters who happened to be visiting her grieving grandmother was at the residence and was therefore inadvertently able to see her parents.

Kaleme conducted interviews with all three of Mosuavi’s daughters regarding their latest statement and demands. Kokab Mousavi, Mir Hossein Mousavi’s eldest daughter made the following statement regarding the effect of generating awareness and the nation’s sensitivity to these issues has on reducing the level of injustice: “Given the current behavior by the ruling establishment and the rampant repression in our society, people’s reactions are unpredictable. As a result we do not know what repercussions our statements may have within our society.” Kokab Mousavi nevertheless emphasized: “We will not hold back and we will continue to do everything in our power to report on the condition of our parents, defending them against such unjust accusations. The rest is in the God’s hands, and hopefully these injustices will soon come to an end.”

With regards to the opinions expressed by judicial and security officials on the illegal house arrest of the leaders of the green movement, Kokab Mousavi stated: ” A few weeks ago we all heard Mohsen Ejeii claim that nothing has changed regarding the status of the house arrest, nor will there be any changes moving forward. For this reason we don’t have any hope in the authorities. We will nevertheless continue our efforts, enlightening the public and generating awareness, for it is through awareness that the web these gentlemen have spun around themselves will God willing eventually turn to dust.”

Kokab Mousavi points to the insults by certain individuals, published in recent days by media outlets associated with the ruling establishment adding: “My father only has access to television while under house arrest, a media outlet that is not “national” but rather “biased” and broadcasts a large amount of lies. Despite such restrictions, he has always insisted that when he hears the news, he clearly sees what is going on and can decipher the truth even through such limited and biased outlets. I am sure that my father is also aware of the unjust accusations that have been made against him.”

When asked whether the ruling establishment will ever allow Mousavi to respond to such accusations, Kokab Mousavi replies: ” I highly doubt that they will allow my father to respond to such accusations. A regime that is only 100% accepting of its own point of view, is fearful of any event and concerned that its pillars may weaken and become unstable. Such a government will never take a risk of this type. They are fully aware that my father stands for the truth. This government undoubtedly realizes that allowing my father to defend himself would be to their disadvantage. The security apparatus in Iran refuses to accept the fact that they must comply with the law.”

Kokab Mousavi concluded: “I highly doubt they will agree to act legally, allowing my parents to be tried in a court of law. My father and Mehdi Karroubi a former head of the parliament, have both served this regime for years. This familiarity with the regime makes things more difficult for them. Given all the lies, deceit and repression only God can resolve the challenges we face. We God’s servants will continue to do everything in our power to fight oppression, for accepting oppression is a sin in itself. We must and will do our best …”

چکیده :خانم کوکب موسوی درباره تاثیر آگاهی بخشی و حساسیت مردم در کم شدن ظلمها می گوید: “با شرایطی که در حال حاضر در رفتار حکومت وجود دارد و اختناقی که در جامعه ایجاد کرده اند، واکنش مردم قابل پیش بینی نیست و ما واقعا نمی دانیم بیانیه ی ما چه بازتابی در جامعه خواهد داشت. وی در عین حال تاکید می کند: ما کوتاهی نمی کنیم. و تا جایی که توان داریم درباره ی وضعیت پدر و مادر خود اطلاع رسانی و در مقابل تهمت های ناروا از ایشان دفاع می کنیم….

فرزندان  میرحسین موسوی و زهرا رهنورد و فرزندان مهدی کروبی روز گذشته در بیانیه ای خطاب به ملت ایران با بیان مظالمی که بر والدینشان می رود از حاکمیت خواسته بودند تا به والدین آنها فرصتی داده شود تا بتوانند از ظلم رفته بر آنها و حجم انبوه اتهام ها، دستگیری بی مورد و خشونت رفته برخود، خانواده و تمام دوستدارانشان به پیشگاه مردم شریف و دلیر ایران شکایت کنند.

به گزارش کلمه، دختران میرحسین و رهنورد هر زمان که در مورد وضعیت پدر و مادر خود اطلاع رسانی کرده اند با تهدید و تحدیدهای شدید مواجه شده اند، که عرصه را بیش از پیش بر آنان تنگ کرد و هفته ها بی خبری از پدر و مادر و فشارهای جانی و شغلی متعددی را در پی داشته است.

چنانکه طی هفته های اخیر علیرغم فوت پدر زهرا رهنورد، دختران وی حتی امکان تماس تلفنی با مادر خود و عرض تسلیت به وی را نداشته اند تا اینکه دیروز میرحسین و رهنورد تحت الحفظ برای ساعتی به منزل مرحوم پدر خانم رهنورد اعزام شده بودند  و  یکی از  فرزندان که برای دیدار با  مادربزرگ داغدار خود در منزل ایشان بوده است به طور تصادفی می تواند با پدر و مادر خود دیدار کند.

کلمه در باره این بیانیه و خواسته های خانواده موسوی و کروبی با هر سه فرزند موسوی و رهنورد گفت و گو کرده است.

دختر نخست وزیر هشت سال دفاع مقدس با اشاره به اظهار نظرهایی که گهگاه مسئولان قضایی و امنیتی در مورد حصر غیرقانونی رهبران جنبش سبز داشته اند، می گوید: چند هفته ی پیش قطعا دیدید که آقای محسنی اژه ای گفتند تغییری در حصر ایجاد نشده و نخواهد شد. به همین دلیل از منظر مسئولان که امیدی نداریم، اما ما تلاش خودمان را می کنیم و به روشنگری های خود ادامه می دهیم تا مردم آگاه شوند.  با آگاهی مردم،  تارهایی که آقایان دور خودشان تنیده اند پوسیده می شود ان شاالله.

خانم موسوی با تاکید بر محدودیت رسانه های مورد استفاده ی میرحسین موسوی، به تهمت هایی که برخی افراد در رسانه های وابسته به قدرت  خصوصا در روزهای اخیر مطرح می کنند، اشاره کرده و می گوید:  پدرمن در حبس خانگی  فقط  به تلویزیون دسترسی دارد. رسانه ای که به واقع “میلی” است نه ملی، و دروغ در آن زیاد است. اما پدر من پیش از این بارها گفته اند که من وقتی خبری را می خوانم تا عمق آن را می فهمم چه خبر است و از گوشه و کنار اخبار همین رسانه ها همه چیز را دریافت می کنند. و قطعا از تهمت های ناروایی که گهگاه به ایشان زده می شود هم باخبرند.

وی در پاسخ به اینکه “آیا امکان دارد که حکومت روزی امکان پاسخ به این تهمت ها را به میرحسین بدهد یا خیر” خاطرنشان می کند: من بعید می دانم به پدر من اجازه بدهند که پاسخ تهمت ها را بدهند. حکومتی که فقط و به طور صد در صدی خودش را قبول دارد، از هر اتفاقی می ترسد و نگران است که پایه هایش سست و متزلزل شود. چنین حکومتی هیچ وقت این ریسک را نمی کند چون می داند پدر من و راه و حرفش حق است و تردید ندارد که اگر پدر من امکان دفاع پیدا کنند به ضررشان تمام می شود.

دختر میرحسین موسوی و زهرا رهنورد معتقد است که “نهادهای امنیتی نمی خواهند بپذیرند که باید رفتار قانونی داشته باشند”.

او می گوید: من فکر نمی کنم به این راحتی ها به دادگاه تن بدهند و بپذیرند که قانونی برخورد کنند پدر من سال ها در این حکومت بوده اند و از آن طرف هم آقای کروبی هم همینطور سالها مسئول بوده اند رییس مجلس بوده اند. این آشنایی با نظام و حکومت کار آنان را سخت تر می کند.

دختر ارشد همراهان محصور جنبش سبز مردم ایران در پایان تصریح می کند: در این “حکومت” با همه ی این دروغ ها و اختناق ها، رفع گره ها و کارها  فقط دست خداست، و بنده ی خدا فقط باید تلاشش را بکند که تحت ظلم قرار نگیرد که ظلم پذیری خودش یک گناه است. ما باید تلاشمان را بکنیم و خواهیم کرد.

گفت وگو با  دو فرزند دیگر موسوی و رهنورد نیز تا ساعات آینده منتشر خواهد شد.

Zahra Rahnavard Taken to Her Late Father’s Bedside A Few Hours After His Passing

December 29th, 2012 [Kaleme] – Zahra Rahnvard, the wife of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi who continues to be under illegal house arrest, was allowed to visit her late father’s body briefly today, surrounded by security agents.

Kaleme reports that a few hours after the passing of her father Sadegh Kazemi, Rahnavard was taken to a hospital by security agents and allowed to pay her respects to her late father for approximately 15 minutes. Rahnavard was reportedly only accompanied by security agents and none of her family members were present.

The late Sadegh Kazemi was 93 years old and had been hospitalized due to a lung infection and other complications related to old age.

The pro government news agency Fars News, claimed hours ago that Zahra Rahnavard was present at her father’s bedside prior to his passing. However, there is no truth to this claim.

زهرا رهنورد ساعاتی پس از فوت پدر، بر بالین وی حاضر شد

چکیده :امروز و چند ساعت پس از فوت صادق کاظمی، خانم زهرا رهنورد توسط ماموران به بیمارستان منتقل شده و توانسته است حدود پانزده دقیقه بر بالین پدر با پیکر وی وداع کند….

زهرا رهنورد بانوی محصور جنبش سبز ایران، امروز، چند ساعت پس از فوت پدرش در محاصره ماموران امنیتی بر بالین وی حاضر شده است.

به گزارش کلمه، امروز و چند ساعت پس از فوت صادق کاظمی، خانم زهرا رهنورد توسط ماموران به بیمارستان منتقل شده و توانسته است حدود پانزده دقیقه بر بالین پدر با پیکر وی وداع کند.

در این دیدار جز ماموران امنیتی شخص دیگری از نزدیکان رهنورد وی را همراهی نمیکرد.

مرحوم کاظمی، ۹۳ ساله از مدتی پیش به علت عفونت ریه و عوارض ناشی از کهولت سن در بیمارستان بستری بود.

خبرگزاری امنیتی فارس ساعتی پیش مدعی شده بود که زهرا رهنورد هنگام فوت بر بالین پدر حاضر بوده است که این مساله صحت ندارد.

41 Political Prisoners at Evin’s Ward 350 Condemn the Recent Illegal Actions Against Prisoners

In a statement provided to Kaleme, 41 political prisoners at Evin prison condemn the recent illegal pressure and restrictions on political prisoners at Evin’s general ward 350 following their revelations regarding the torture and death of the late Sattar Beheshti.  

The full content of the statement as provided to Kaleme is as follows:

In the name of God the merciful and kind,

In recent weeks following revelations by a number of political prisoners at Evin prison’s ward 350 regarding the torture that led to the death of an innocent Iranian citizen, Sattar Beheshti, prison officials and the intelligence apparatus rather than implementing serious repercussions against the true criminals have instead opted to impose increasing restrictions and pressure on the prisoners behind bars at Evin’s ward 350.

The most recent attempt occurred on Tuesday December 25th, 2012 with the sudden and illegal transfer of Mostafa Nili from Evin to Rajai Shahr prison, an act that was strongly condemned by the political prisoners at ward 350.  This illegal act was followed by yet another immoral, inhumane and illegal move in which Seyed Mohammad Seyf Zadeh, a renowned lawyer and legal expert and one of the oldest political prisoners at Evin’s ward 350 who has been suffering from a serious ailment for quite some time now, was taken to Evin’s infirmary under the pretext that he would receive medical treatment, only to be kidnapped and also transferred to Rajai Shahr prison.

The above mentioned cases are examples of the ever increasing illegal involvement by the Intelligence Ministry in the day to day affairs of Evin’s ward 350, resulting in further aggravation and tension within this ward.

While condemning such actions we urgently demand that the judicial authorities and in particular the the head of the judiciary put an end to the illegal acts that have led to the violation of prisoner rights and to return the above mentioned prisoners to Evin’s Ward 350. Furthermore, we wish to remind those responsible for such acts of the following words of God:

Koran Surah Al-Ma’idah verse 8:

..witnesses in justice, do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do.

چکیده :در هفته های اخیر پس از افشاگری های زندانیان سیاسی بند 350 در زندان اوین در مورد شکنجه هایی که منجر به مرگ مظلومانه مرحوم ستار بهشتی شد، مسوولان زندان و عوامل اطلاعاتی به جای برخورد جدی با مجرمان، برخورد و اعمال فشار و محدودیت هر چه بیشتر زندانیان بند 350 را در دستور کار خود قرار داده اند و هر روز به نحوی آن را اعمال می کنند….

۴۱ زندانی سیاسی محبوس در بند ۳۵۰ زندان اوین در بیانیه ای با محکوم کردن رفتارهای غیرقانونی مسئولان اعلام کرده اند که به نظر می رسد دخالت های غیر قانونی و روز افزون عوامل وزارت اطلاعات در امور بند ۳۵۰ باعث التهاب و تشنج هر چه بیشتر در این بند خواهد شد.

به گزارش کلمه، این زندانیان سیاسی در بیانیه ی خود آورده اند: ما ضمن محکوم کردن این اقدامات مصرانه از مسوولان دستگاه قضایی و بخصوص رییس آن قوه می خواهیم از ادامه این اقدامات خلاف قانون که باعث نقض حقوق زندانیان شده ممانعت بعمل آورده، زندانیان فوق الذکر را به بند ۳۵۰ برگردانند.

صبح امروز کلمه خبر داده بود که اعتراض زندانیان سیاسی بند ۳۵۰ زندان اوین به تبعید غیرقانونی مصطفی نیلی به زندان رجایی شهر، با آﻣﺎﺩﻩ ﺑﺎش گارد زندان ﭘﺸﺖ ﺩﺭﺏ ﺑﻨﺪ، به ایجاد تنش انجامید. نیلی در لحظه خداحافظی با هم‌بندی‌های خود گفت که به محض تبعید، دست به اعتصاب غذای نامحدود می‌زند. همزمان خبر می رسد که محمد سیف زاده هم به طور ناگهانی و بدون اعلام قبلی یا ارائه هرگونه دلیلی، از زندان اوین تبعید شده است.

در آخرین این اقدامات روز سه شنبه ۹۱/۱۰/۵ بدون هیچ توجیه قانونی آقای مصطفی نیلی را به زندان رجایی شهر منتقل کردند که مورد اعتراض شدید زندانیان بند ۳۵۰ قرار گرفت. پس آن در اقدامی ضد اخلاقی، مزورانه و به ویژه غیر قانونی، آقای سیدمحمد سیف زاده را که از حقوقدانان و وکلای شناخته شده و از مسن ترین زندانیان سیاسی دربند ۳۵۰ بوده و مدت هاست از بیماری جدی رنج می برد به بهانه انتقال به بهداری برای ادامه درمان معالجات دعوت کردند. اما بجای بهداری وی را ربودند و به زندان رجایی شهر منتقل کردند.

به نظر می رسد این موارد از دخالت های غیر قانونی و روز افزون عوامل وزارت اطلاعات در امور بند ۳۵۰ ناشی می شود و باعث التهاب و تشنج هر چه بیشتر در این بند خواهد شد.

ما ضمن محکوم کردن این اقدامات مصرانه از مسوولان دستگاه قضایی و بخصوص رییس آن قوه می خواهیم از ادامه این اقدامات خلاف قانون که باعث نقض حقوق زندانیان شده ممانعت بعمل آورده، زندانیان فوق الذکر را به بند ۳۵۰ برگردانند و به آن ها این کلام الهی را یاد آور می شویم که:

ولا یجرمنکم شنآن قوم على ألا تعدلوا اعدلوا هو أقرب للتقوى واتقوا الله إن الله خبیر بما تعملون

و دشمنی با گروهی از (مردم) به بی عدالتی وادارتان نکند، عدالت ورزید که به تقوا نزدیک تر است و از خدا پروا کنید، که اورا به آنچه می کنید آگاه است.

Iran’s Security Apparatus Refuses Responsibility For the Food Supply of Detained Opposition Leader Mir Hossein Mousavi and his Wife Zahra Rahnavard

December 9th, 2012 – [Kaleme] In an alarming move, the security agents in charge of the house arrest of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mouavi and his wife Zahra Rahnavard, have refused responsibility for providing the opposition leader and his wife with food for some time now, and instead made the family responsible for their food supply- this while Mousavi’s family members have no means to verify the quantity and quality of the food that is in actuality provided to their parents behind bars at Akhtar street.

Following 22 months of illegal house arrest, the security apparatus responsible for the detention of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard, previously adamant about supplying the food to the opposition leader and his wife, refusing all attempts by the family to supply such food, now claim to no longer be responsible for their food supply, passing the responsibility on to the family members instead. This latest move coincides with the fact that Mousavi’s daughters currently have no contact with their parents and with the exception of a phone call last week and their last visit taking place on November 20th, 2012, all communication with their parents has been blocked. In the past three weeks the opposition leader’s daughters have been denied of even the tense, security filled, selective visitations they were afforded previously.

The security apparatus that had warned the family of such conditions if they continue to publish reports regarding the status of the opposition leader and his wife Zahra Rahnavard, have now demanded that the family provide all food on their own. When first expressed during one of the family visits, Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard viewed this latest demand by the security apparatus as a threat to their lives, warning the security agents that they are the ones directly responsible for their health and well being.

The family currently hands over the food to the security agents at the gate, who then supposedly deliver the food to their detained parents. Mousavi’s family is concerned about this strange behavior by the security apparatus, for the motivations and intentions behind such an act remain unclear, leaving the family worried about whether the perpetrators and those responsible for ordering the illegal detention and prolonged house arrest of the opposition leader and his wife intent to compromise his health and well-being while disclaiming all responsibility regarding this matter.

The lack of news regarding the detained opposition leader Mousavi and his wife, particularly given Mousavi’s recent heart condition and reports that Mrs. Rahnavard is now suffering from shaking in the hands and the face only further increases the concerns regarding their health and well-being.

تغییر رفتار نگران کننده زندانبانان میرحسین و خودداری از تامین مواد غذایی/ باز هم بی خبری از موسوی و رهنورد

چکیده :ماموران امنیتی که پیش تر از آوردن هرگونه مواد غذایی از سوی فرزندان میرحسین و رهنورد برای پدر و مادر زندانی شان جلوگیری می کردند، پس از 22 ماه حصر خانگی غیر قانونی می گویند خود را مسئول مواد غذایی آنها نمی دانند و خانواده باید این کار را برعهده بگیرند. مواد غذایی را که فرزندان تهیه کرده اند، خود تحویل می‌گیرند و به پدر و مادر دربند آنها می‌رسانند. آنها مواد غذایی را که فرزندان تهیه کرده اند، جلوی در تحویل می‌گیرند تا به پدر و مادر دربند آنها برسانند….

در اقدامی نگران کننده، مدتی است زندانبانان میر حسین و رهنورد از تامین مواد غذایی آنها سر باز زده اند و خانواده را مامور تهیه مواد غذایی آنها کرده اند؛ آن هم در حالی که خانواده موسوی حتی نمی توانند مطمئن شوند که این مواد غذایی با چه وضع و کیفیتی به دست زندانیان کوچه اختر می رسد.

به گزارش کلمه، ماموران امنیتی که پیش تر از آوردن هرگونه مواد غذایی از سوی فرزندان میرحسین و رهنورد برای پدر و مادر زندانی شان جلوگیری می کردند، و مواد غذایی را خود راسا تامین میکردند پس از ۲۲ ماه حصر خانگی غیر قانونی می گویند خود را مسئول مواد غذایی آنها نمی دانند و خانواده باید این کار را برعهده بگیرند.

در عین حال دختران موسوی در حال حاضر هیچ گونه تماسی با پدر و مادر خود نداشته و بعد از ملاقات روز ۳۰ آبان هم هیچ یک از آنها دیداری با میرحسین و همسرش نداشته اند. دختران موسوی تنها در یک مورد هفته گذشته در تماسی تلفنی از آن سو از سلامتی پدر و مادر خود خبردار شده اند و غیر از این، همه ارتباطات قطع بوده و در سه هفته اخیر آنها حتی از همان دیدارهای گزینشی و پر تنش قبلی هم محروم شده اند.

ماموران که پیش تر آنها را به ایجاد چنین وضعیتی در صورت اطلاع رسانی از وضعیت پدر و مادر خود تهدید کرده بودند، حالا از آنها خواسته اند مواد غذایی موسوی و رهنورد را نیز خود تامین کنند؛ اقدامی که وقتی اولین بار در یک ملاقات طرح شد، میرحسین و رهنورد آن را به منزله ی تهدید جانی قلمداد کردند و هشدار دادند که مسئولیت سلامت آنها بر عهده زندانبانان است.

در چنین شرایطی، ماموران مواد غذایی را که فرزندان تهیه کرده اند، جلوی در تحویل می‌گیرند تا به پدر و مادر دربند آنها برسانند. این رفتار عجیب اکنون این نگرانی را در خانواده موسوی ایجاد کرده که نیت و غرض خاصی در کار باشد و عاملان و آمران این بازداشت غیرقانونی و طولانی مدت خانگی، قصد سوئی برای خدشه به سلامتی میر حسین و رهنورد و رفع مسئولیت از خود داشته باشند.

بی خبری از این دو زندانی زندان اختر هم به نگرانی ها در این شرایط دامن می‌زند؛ خصوصا با توجه به اینکه وضعیت بیماری قلبی مهندس موسوی همچنان نگران کننده است، و همچنین خبری از بهبود آثار و عوارض ناشناخته ای همچون لرزش دست و صورت که در خانم رهنورد دیده شده بود، نیست

Incarcerated Lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh Breaks Her Hunger Strike After 49 Days!

Finally some good news! Nasrin ended her hunger strike today (November 29th, 2012) after 49 days! We thank all our friends and supporters who stood with us during this time. Our gratitude in particular to the women’s rights activists who used a variety of channels in the past few days to follow up on Nasrin’s demands.

In the exceptional visit we were granted this afternoon, Nasrin informed us that given that the judicial restrictions on our daughter Mehraveh have been lifted, she has decided to put an end to her hunger strike.

I will write in more detail regarding this matter shortly.
